Features
Transparent Polymer Cone (TPC): The injected transparent polymer
cone is lightweight and mechanically rigid, allowing the speaker to play louder
with less power. Acoustically inert, the cone does not "color" the sound of the
music, giving you accurate musical reproduction. The woofer uses a foam
surround.
Transparent Polycarbonate Basket:
The transparent polycarbonate basket is acoustically inert, so that sonic
output is free of unwanted resonances. Since the magnet is encapsulated by the
polycarbonate basket, the speaker is inherently water-resistant, allowing you to
use it in outdoor and marine applications.
Extended
Pole Piece: The pole piece has been extended to provide a more
linear magnetic field for woofer operation. This lowers distortion and provides
the woofer with better low frequency response.
Enclosure Compatibility
Recommended Sealed Box
Volume: Blaupunkt recommends using this woofer in a sealed enclosure
with one of the following internal volumes: 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, or 2.0 cu/ft.
Recommended Ported Box
Volume: Blaupunkt recommends using this woofer in a ported enclosure
with one of the following internal volumes:
- 0.5 cu/ft: one 2" diameter
x 4" long port
- 0.75 cu/ft: one 2"
diameter x 4" long port
- 1.0 cu/ft: one 2" diameter
x 3.7" long port
- 1.5 cu/ft: one 2" diameter
x 3.6" long port
- 2.0 cu/ft: one 2" diameter

Single-Vented Bandpass Box Volume: The
bandpass box sizes recommended by Blaupunkt include the following:
- 1.0 cu/ft: has a vented
chamber volume of 0.45 cu/ft and a sealed chamber volume of 0.55 cu/ft. The
vented chamber can have one 3" diameter x 3.7" long port, or one 4" diameter
x 7.8" long port.
- 1.25 cu/ft: has a vented
chamber volume of 0.625 cu/ft and a sealed chamber volume of 0.625 cu/ft.
The vented chamber can have one 3" diameter x 4.1" long port, or one 4"
diameter x 8.7" long port.
- 1.5 cu/ft: has a vented
chamber volume of 0.75 cu/ft and a sealed chamber volume of 0.75 cu/ft. The
vented chamber can have one 3" diameter x 3.9" long port, or one 4" diameter
x 8.3" long port.
- 2.0
cu/ft: has a vented chamber volume of 1.0 cu/ft and a sealed chamber
volume of 1.0 cu/ft. The vented chamber can have one 3" diameter x 3.8" long
port, or one 4" diameter x 8.1" long port.
- 2.5
cu/ft: has a vented chamber volume of 1.4 cu/ft and a sealed chamber
volume of 1.1 cu/ft. The vented chamber can have one 3" diameter x 4.5" long
port, or one 4" diameter x 9.3" long port.
