Overview: The Klipsch LightSpeaker System (LS 5.2.2) combines
efficient LED lighting and wireless ambient sound into a three-piece system that
installs similar to a light-bulb. The Klipsch LightSpeaker System includes two
LightSpeakers, one transmitter, RF remote control, and other essential cables
and hardware. The wireless LightSpeakers are intended to install into a 5" or 6"
recessed ceiling light fixture, common in most homes and will replace a standard
light bulb (R-30 or R-40).

Features
Multi-Room Music: If you have a light fixture with an Edison socket,
you can add brilliant light and ambient music to any room with the Klipsch
LightSpeaker System. In order to deliver music wirelessly throughout your home,
the LightSpeaker relies on a standalone 2.4GHz transmitter. A music source, such
as a laptop, iPod, TV, or home stereo connects to the transmitter (via RCA/minijack) and
it wirelessly sends the sound to the LightSpeakers, using proprietary 2.4GHz
wireless technology (up to 50' in any direction). You can connect two music
sources to the transmitter as well as establish two separate listening zones in
your home. Up to 8 LightSpeakers (714LS520, sold separately) install in a
system. The transmitter and included RF remote control all system functions.
Two Zone System: The Klipsch LightSpeaker System allows you to se up
two separate zones in your home. Each LightSpeaker features a Zone switch
which allows you to indentify it as Zone 1 or Zone 2. The included transmitter
base station will then automatically seek out and identify each zone. This in
turn will allow you to control the music and lighting in each zone separately
from either the transmitter base or the RF remote control.
LightSpeaker: The LightSpeakers simply install into almost any 5"
(R-30) or 6" (R-40) recessed ceiling light fixture and serves two system
purposes - it act as a wireless, self-powered loudspeaker and a dimmable LED
light.
- Full-Range Sound Performance: The LightSpeaker's
full-range internal speaker uses a 20 watt high-performance, low-distortion
digital amplifier to deliver energy efficient sound. Furthermore, the
2.5-inch wide dispersion driver uses digital signal processing to optimize
high- and low-frequency output for a full spectrum of sound.
- Brilliant LED Light: The LightSpeaker comes with a fully dimmable
LED bulb that is rated for 25,000 to 40,000 hours of use and can last over
15 years (long lifespan saves changing 50 standard bulbs). It also reduces
daily lighting expenses by 80%, using 10 watts to produce light that's
bright enough to replace up to a 65-watt bulb. The LED light is fully
dimmable using the included remote and transmitter. Unlike incandescent
bulbs, LED light bulbs contain no mercury or halogen gases and produce
almost no heat.
2.4GHz Transmitter: The 2.4GHz transmitter base station connects up to
two audio components via stereo RCA/minijack connection and then wirelessly transmits the
incoming audio signal to the installed LightSpeakers via a 2.4GHz frequency. The
transmitter also offers controls for the system. It allows you to control Zone,
Source, Volume, and Brightness (of LED light).
RF Remote Control: The Klipsch LightSpeaker System includes an RF
wireless remote control (operates off of two "AAA" batteries; included). The RF
remote will control which source you listen to in a room, as well as the level
of the sound and the brightness of the light; this can be done from almost
anywhere in the house, so you don't need to be near the transmitter.
Earth Friendly: The LightSpeaker
System can pay for itself in 5 years through savings on installation, equipment,
and daily usage of the LED green lighting.
Mounting Options
No Wiring/Easy Install: The LightSpeaker installs like a light bulb
and fits almost any fixture with a standard Edison socket; such as 5- and 6-inch
recessed can-lighting, hanging lights, as well as table and floor lamps. The
LightSpeaker is equipped with a unique mounting system (SimpleTabs). The three
SimpleTabs, on the back of the speaker can be rotated outward and when the
LightSpeaker is pressed into the housing, hold it centered and securely in
place. There is no wiring, no retrofitting, and no software. Plus, uninstalling
the LightSpeaker is just as simple, in case you move.
Mounting Requirements: The Klipsch LightSpeaker requires a light
fixture with an Edison socket and an opening of 4.75" in diameter with 6.5625"
of depth.
