Wow, I am so stoked with these little speakers! I replaced the rear panels with these in my 2001 dodge Dakota, and even though they were blown out, I am really impressed at the quality of sound that these things throw out. Thanks to the goods thrown in by crutch field, the install went seamlessly and only took about 45 minutes between me and my brother. I love the quality of sound they give, and I will buy some products from these guys again!

Pros:

Crisp, awesome lows and highs. Easy installation with the harness and brackets provided. The price is right!

None so far.

install was flawless with the step by step pictorials and was a breeze. love the sound, they are great for the price. an upgrade from factory speakers and a huge difference. adapters worked well as well as did the connectors from factor plug to speaker connections My wife is now listening to her in car cd player with renewed interest and enjoyment

Livin Loud !!! Must Buy!!!

Installed in 98' Accord LX. Replaced my old Pioneer deck after 11 years with a Kenwood. Then replaced my 6 1/2 pioneer 3-way with the Kickers. Keep in mind I have 2 apms 1-4channel and a mono block for my sub. Just started replacing piece by piece. These kicker sound amazing. I was going to get componets buy my friend bought a pair and told me the price. I had replaced my 2 10 JL W6's with 1 12' cvr kicker and 800 watt ZX series app. Only third of the cost and my sub bangs with the best !!! I recomend these to all. I read some of the reviews about these not having bass. So not true. But I guess if your rockin a factory deck....it is what it is. I tested the bass and as I thought they hit low if you want, and they rock out mids like they were designed to. My opinion don't drop 250 and get these for 65.

Pros:

Crisp , clear , good bass ,power full(with amp) very affordable for its class.

Cons:

none, so buy them !

The speakers are a 5 star because they were exactly what I wanted. A reasonable price with a very decent sound. I would give it 4 stars because of the bracket I used supplied I had to modify it to make it fit correctly. But my review is based on the quality of the speaker. 5 stars

Pros:

Great sound, price and very good customer service apon ordering. And the easy hook up from factory wire to speaker was a breeze

Cons:

Bracket sent didn't fit properly had to modify to fit.

I bought these to replace the factory speakers in a 2012 Nissan Versa. Obviously, the bar was not very high, but these speakers really sound good. Much better than the 'premium' speakers in my other cars that cost 3x from the car manufacturer. OTOH, I was hoping for, and sort of expecting, a bit more bass from Kicker speakers. I know they are 6.5" speakers and shallow, as well, so I can't rate the speakers poorly for my out-of-line expectations. Now, where to put a sub...

Pros:

Crisp, clean sound from top to bottom

Cons:

Not as much bass as you might expect from Kicker

Bought these to replace blown speakers in a Jeep Cherokee with the Infinity Sound System. Your website gave me a selection and after an online chat and an email from your staff they recommended these speakers. The original speakers were blown when I bought the Jeep for my son so I can't compare the sound to the original but after the very easy installation, especially with the wiring harness that was included, the sound quality was amazing. Very pleased with the product, service and fast shipping!

While these speakers have much clearer highs and mids at low volume, I had trouble with distortion at all volumes once any bit of bass was introduced. Even after the break in period, these speakers had less volume and bass than the stock speakers w/ factory head unit. The three stars are for Crutchfield. They bent over backwards to make this right. If every business ran like this we would not be in a recession. They asked me what I wanted to do, I told them, they did it. Awesome bunch of people. My doctor never treated me with this much respect, and he takes a heck of a lot more of my money!

These speakers seem to be a quality product, HOWEVER, you MUST use them with an upgraded head unit! I do not think these were meant for bass. These are higher wattage speakers so your factory HU will not cut the mustard!

Pros:

CRUTCHFIELD CUSTOMER SERVICE! Buy with confidence. Even if this product doesnt do what it needs to for you they will make it right. HOWEVER, do take the time to call them first so you get exactly what you need for your system.

Cons:

Bad bass, ok mids, good clarity. One turns on and off randomly, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt....these do not fit in the standard mounting brackets because they have this shroud around them, so prepare to get creative on the mounting.

Great Speakers

I purchased these speakers after my OEM speakers blew. I've got a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt with a Sony XAV-60, and two 10" JL W3v3's. These speakers work well with the setup I have. Easy installation, great sound quality, and a decent price what more can you ask for. I also bought the speaker "baffles" to prevent them from shorting out. (like the originals did because of water getting past the bottom window seal common problems on cobalts). I also plan on buying these speakers again in a couple weeks to put in the rear deck. I've also installed these same Kickers on my managers 2000 GMC Sierra and he absolutely LOVES them. They've been in his truck for over a year now without any problems. So all and all great product, great sound, decent price. So what are you waiting for GO BUY A PAIR!

Crystal clear highs and nice mid bass. Replaced factory door speakers in a 94, F-150. driving them with a Pioneer DEH-5900 ,Huge improvement I love them.

Pros:

Great sound quality

Cons:

Had to grind the tabs down for the universal mounts to fit back into recessed door pocket.

installed in dash of a 2010 wrangler unlimited. factory sound quality was atrocious. i wanted an upgrade without dropping the money on a stand alone sub, and the kickers fit the bill. provide great sound quality and sufficient base to appreciate the music, withought dropping alot of coin. would definately recommend these to anyone.

Pros:

great speaker.....crutchfield supplied wiring harness made hookup a breeze

Cons:

none, other than the fact that putting them in a wrangler dash is a feat in and of itself....but thats a jeep delima.

First set of Kickers

I bought this set of Kickers to begin upgrading the factory "premium" system in my 2008 Honda Accord sedan. I know not to expect bass out of a speaker this size, but was shocked that my stock set had more than these. Of course they're very clear and clean, but no bass at all. For whatever reason, the stock set's volume level was better. Now the Kickers will move to the front doors and the JLs I ordered today will replace them in the deck. Sub and amp next! Btw, I'm not replacing the factory HU because the dash kits seem to suck (based on reviews). Honda did a nice job on the dash, and I hate to cheapen it. I'm no audiophile, so take this review with a grain of salt. Just don't have illusions of grandeur from this particular pair of Kickers.

Pros:

Crisp sound

Cons:

Less bass than stock Honda speakers (they almost went back to Crutchfield).

Easy Install & Sound Great

Very easy install for 2000 GMC Sierra with 4 doors. Provided speaker adapters and mounting brackets worked as advertised. Door removal was easier than expected with accurate Crutchfield instructions and watching a You Tube Video in advance of the work. The speakers attached easily to the supplied speaker brackets which speeded up the install. For my vehicle, only the tab located at the 3 o'clock location needed to be removed. Just make sure you secure the speaker wire to the wire bundle at the bottom of the door as the speaker adapters add additional length the speaker connection that may interfere with the window operation. The DS60s sound far better than the original stock speakers. Total install time was less than 2 hours.

Pros:

Improved sound quality. Easy install.

Cons:

None Noticed.

Great sound quality. I had these hooked up just to my factory radio in a 2011 Jetta and they sound was pretty good. Once I put the Alpine Power Pack in the sound quality improved a lot. The bass is decent and the highs are excellent. I only give them 4 stars because if you turn up the radio pretty loud the speaker begin to distort. Maybe I just need to adjust the gain on the amp.

For the price you can not beat these speakers.

Good bass/mids, excellent highs.

Cons:

The sensitivity my be a little high.

I bought these to replace my factory speakers in my 2007 Civic. Initially, I thought my factory speakers sounded just fine, but since I was upgrading my head unit; I decided to upgrade the entire system. After installing these Kicker 6-1/2's all the way around the car; I was very impressed by the way they sounded. The highs were crispy and the lows weren't too bad either. I added an amp to them and WHOO... very nice! I have been a long time Crutchfield customer from back in the days when all you could do is return the form in the book, or call to order. In that time, I have bought almost all brands of speakers. Now, I rely solely on Kicker or Polk to provide the sound in my vehicle. These two brands sound great, are of good quality, and are very affordable.

Pros:

Crispy Highs, Decent Lows.

Replaced all 4 speakers in my 2009 Honda Accord Coupe. Installed in a couple hours cause the front doors were somewhat tricky to come off. Once installed I was very pleased with overall sound!!! Great bass response for the size. I do recommend buying a sub for that extra low end though. Sounds amazing with the Sound Ordnance BP-8!! Even running from a factory HU. No need to think too hard about this one....These will not disappoint!!!!!

Great bass, crisp sound, does not distort.
