New tweeters and crossovers
In order to guarantee superior high-frequency reproduction in your BMW, the factory tweeters are replaced with JL Audio's C5-075ct silk dome component tweeters and C5 crossover networks. This change will bring out all the intricacies in your music, as well as set up a clearly defined soundstage that will make it seem as if the band is playing directly in front of you. The package includes tweeter mounting brackets that help simplify the installation.
One amp takes care of the whole system
JL Audio's XD700/5 5-channel amplifier provides power for the entire system. This compact beast installs neatly out of the way, feeding your four factory speakers and your new tweeters up to 75 watts RMS each, while its sub channel will deliver 300 watts RMS to a Stealthbox, when you install it. This power allows all your speakers to operate at peak efficiency and eliminates distortion, so you enjoy clean sound, even at high levels.
Signal summing module ties the new system to the factory system
The JL Audio CL-SSI combines the high- and low-frequency outputs from the premium factory system, and presents a full-range stereo signal to the XD700/5 amplifier. The input sections of the Signal Summing Interface feature optimum level indicator LED's and trim pots for quick and accurate level matching that results in the cleanest and strongest signal possible. This little processor and the 5-channel amp mount on custom-fit brackets in the spot behind the left rear panel (where the factory amp lives) for a very neat installation.

Add the Stealthbox subwoofer
Your upgrade really won't be complete without adding some bass to the system. This JL Audio Stealthbox subwoofer perfectly matches your BMW's acoustic space, and fits in without taking up much room. The Stealthbox contains one 10" W3v3 subwoofer, and it lives up to its name, as it broadcasts powerful bass throughout your X5 from beneath the cargo area floor.
