Features
Overview: The eton Soulra is a solar-powered speaker system with an
integrated iPod/iPhone dock and auxiliary input. It also includes an IR wireless
remote control.
IPX-4 Splash Proof: The eton Soulra features a rugged/rubberized case
and aluminum body. It is IPX-4 Splash Proof certified which protects it against
spraying water from all angles at 10 liters/min at a pressure of 80-100 kN/m2
for 5 minutes.
Note: This unit is only IPX-4 splash proof certified when the
solar panel is closed.
Amplifier & Speakers: The eton Soulra is equipped with two full-range
drivers powered by a built-in 11-watt amplifier for stereo sound. It also offers
a bass boost function for added bass response.
iPod/iPhone Dock: The eton Soulra features an integrated iPod/iPhone
dock to connect select Apple iPods & iPhones. Once your iPod or iPhone is
docked, there is clear plastic cover which snaps over your iPod/iPhone to
protect it from the elements. The eton Soulra offers audio playback, basic
playback control (Play/Pause, FF/RW, Previous/Next), and charging of your iPod or iPhone.
You can still control all the advanced music navigation functions from your
iPod/iPhones clickwheel or touchscreen. This unit does not feature an LCD
display and does not support text display of your iPod/iPhone. You will continue
to use your iPod/iPhone to view song information. The unit is "Made for
iPod/iPhone" compatible and supports the following iPod/iPhone functions (as of
August 2010).

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may
change functionality results. If you download a newer software
version, you may need to reset the device and your iPod/iPhone to
regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to revert
to the older software version or wait until an newer software update
is available.
Auxiliary Input: The eton Soulra is equipped with a rear-panel 3.5mm
auxiliary input jack for connecting a portable audio device, such as your MP3
player or CD player.
Remote Control: The eton Soulra come with an IR remote control for
wireless operation of the unit and docked iPod/iPhone. The remote uses a single
CR2032 3V lithium-cell battery.
Solar Panel: The eton Soulra features an integrated high-efficiency
monocrystal solar cell panel with commercial grade lamination technology to
recharge the unit's built-in lithium-ion battery. The solar panel measures
5.125" x 5.125". The unit's integrated solar panel offers superior low-light
response with a maximum power output of 230mA, 2W.
Power Requirements: The eton Soulra operates off of the integrated
rechargeable battery (2-cell lithium ion 200maH, 7.4V) or AC power. The
rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 4 hours of audio playback at
mid-volume levels. The unit's rechargeable battery can be charged using the
supplied AC adapter or charged from the unit's integrated solar panel.
- Solar Panel Charge: The built-in high efficiency solar panel can
recharge the unit's battery in approximately 10 hours (in direct sunlight).
- AC Power Charge: The AC power adapter charges the unit's battery
in approximately 4 hours.
Note: Its is recommended that you remove your iPod/iPhone from the
Soulra if it is not in use to extend battery life.
Optional Travel Bag: An optional travel bag (710SOULBAG,
sold separately) is available.
