Features
Overview: The Harman Kardon NC over-ear noise-canceling headphones
let you enjoy music from your smartphone, home stereo, or other devices, in
peace and quiet.
The NCs are made of
high-quality materials to provide an exceptional acoustic performance. The
headphones have 40mm drivers and a unique baffle design for clear highs and
extended bass response. The NCs have interchangeable parts that let you custom
fit the headphones to your head. The ear cups swivel to lay flat for easy
storage in the supplied leather case.
Noise Canceling Technology: The H/K NC headphones feature
Harman's closed-loop, active digital noise-canceling technology, the same
technology that was developed for acoustic installations in luxury cars. The
noise-canceling circuit operates on a built-in rechargeable battery that lasts
up to 40 hours. The battery charges in about 2 hours via the supplied USB cable.
(Charging from a laptop computer may take longer.) When the battery is
exhausted, you can continue to listen to your music by switching off the noise
canceling feature, bypassing the circuit.
Audio Cable with In-line Remote/Microphone: The supplied 58"
audio cable plugs into the left ear cup via a 2.5mm sub-miniplug, and is
terminated with a durable straight 3.5mm plug. The cable has an in-line 3-button
remote control and microphone, approximately 6" from the connection to the left
ear cup. This places the microphone in close proximity to your mouth so your
voice can be heard clearly during phone conversations. The controls allow you to raise and lower the volume with the
outer buttons, while the center button
can control your phone calls or music. The remote control is "Made for iPod,
iPhone, and iPad", which means that it is certified to meet Apple performance
standards. During music playback and phone calls, the control function is
determined by the number of center button presses:
- One Press: Pause/Play; Answer/Hang Up
- Two Presses: Skip to next track
- Three Presses: Skip to previous track
- Press and Hold: "Voice Over" feature (such as the
iPhone's Siri), if available
Design: The headphones have a closed back design and
slow-retention premium foam ear pads to keep outside noise out and keep your
music and phone conversations from leaking out. The ear cups swivel in two
directions to maintain the acoustic seal around your ear.
Interchangeable Bows: The H/K NC headphones come assembled
on a "small" metal headband bow. If you need or desire a larger fit, you can
remove the ear cups and padded from the original bow and attach them onto the
supplied "large" spare metal bow.
