This kit allows you to install a single DIN reciever in place of the junk OEM radio that comes with the car. Not only does this make the switch look stock, but it also adds a small shelf below your reciever to stash your MP3 player.(or whatever) Real nice fit. Couldn't imagine switching recievers without using this.

Makes your reciever switch look professional.
Cons:
Might cause your friends to ask you to do their cars too!

Crutchfield included this as a free item when I purchased a Kenwood receiver with the wiring integration adaptor. It makes the install look like a factory job. I was a little worried before the items shipped. I didn't want a mismatched color glaring in the front dash of our car. No worries... the colors match the factory receiver exactly & it looks great,

Thanks to Crutchfield for providing a top quality kit for FREE! Maybe one or two other companies do the same, but not with the same quality. Kit fit the dash and receiver like they were manufactured at the same time side by side. No problems and no surprises.
