About the Boston Acoustics CS 26
Boston's CS 26 bookshelf speaker delivers high-impact sound for your movies, music, and TV shows. You'll hear precise, crystal-clear highs thanks to this speaker's 1" soft dome tweeter. And the 6-1/2" polymer woofer brings home well-defined mids and lows.
Use a pair of CS 26s by themselves for rich, full stereo sound, or team together up to seven of these speakers with a powered subwoofer for engaging home theater sound. You can also build a complete Classic Series speaker system by combining these bookshelf speakers and a sub with floor-standing front speakers and a center channel speaker.

Driver Technology
Tweeter: The CS 26 uses a 1" Kortec soft dome tweeter for clear high frequencies. Kortec is a silky fabric saturated on the underside with a proprietary stiffening agent. Because the inside surface of the dome is ultra stiff, the tweeter tracks the signal with ease and produces an excellent transient attack. Simultaneously, the soft, self-dampening top layer eliminates unwanted resonance, so the sound is smooth and articulate.
Woofer: The CS 26 has a 6-1/2" graphite injected polymer woofer with a phase plug. The speaker features Boston's Deep Channel Design technology to give you more bass with less amplifier power. Rubber surrounds are used for added durability. The enclosure is ported on the back panel.
MagnaGuard: The speaker features MagnaGuard magnetic shielding which ensures the speaker's magnetic field does not interfere with a CRT television's picture.
Bass Management Recommendation: When setting bass management parameters on your home theater receiver, the outputs for this speaker should be set to Small with the subwoofer's crossover point between 80 Hz and 120 Hz.
Connections
Gold-plated Binding Posts: The wire terminals are gold-plated, 5-way binding posts, allowing you to connect the speaker wire using dual banana plugs, single banana plugs, pin connectors, spade terminals, or bare wire. Bare wire up to 10 gauge fits through the binding posts.
Mounting Options
Mounting: A keyhole bracket mounted on the back of the speaker allows wall mounting without purchasing an additional bracket. When wall mounting, affix the included tall rubber feet to the back of the speaker along the bottom. The bracket holds the speaker approximately 3/8" from the wall.

I was looking for a bookshelf speaker that would not sacrifice sound quality. After I had listened to other brands I chose the Boston Acoustics because of their clarity and overall sound quality. I am very satisfied with my decision and pleased with the price that I paid. Money well spent!
