About the Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1
"Perfect." It takes a lot of confidence to use that word to describe a product. But, after hearing the Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 6-1/2" component system, you'll understand why Infinity chose the name. Infinity's engineering talent combines with 21st century technology to produce a component system that delivers superb musical detail and incredible power handling.
The 6-1/2" woofer's aluminum construction allows the reproduction of deep bass at high levels, while the butyl rubber surround minimizes speaker distortion for remarkable clarity. The 1" anodized aluminum dome tweeter is suspended by a butyl rubber surround, dampening the resonant frequency of the tweeter for increased accuracy and excellent power handling. The tweeter can be flush- or surface-mounted when flush-mounted, the tweeter can be angled to improve imaging.
The 2-way crossover uses a 3500 Hz (24 dB/octave) high-pass filter for the tweeter and a 3500 Hz (24 dB/octave) low-pass filter for the woofer for exceptionally natural sound. Each crossover features 3-way selectable tweeter output (-4 dB, 0 dB, +5 dB) for optimizing your system's response. Infinity has created a component system for the most demanding listener don't settle for anything less than Perfect!

Woofer Cone Materials: The woofer cone's deep anodized-aluminum construction provides extremely high stiffness for its moving mass, allowing the speakers to reproduce deep-bass frequencies at high levels. The woofers feature 1.5" voice coils.
Butyl Rubber Woofer Surrounds: The butyl rubber surround has greater internal loss than standard urethane, preventing harmonic distortion at higher frequencies. It more efficiently absorbs edge reflections that can cause audible distortion, resulting in clearer bass performance.
Tweeter Materials: The 1" tweeters feature an anodized-aluminum dome suspended by a rubber surround. The tweeters are driven by a powerful neodymium magnet, resulting in higher power handling and superior detail. The rubber surround helps reduce the resonant frequency of the tweeter, giving you cleaner, more accurate reproduction.
"I-Mount" Tweeter Mounting System: Surface mounting involves mounting the surface mount cup (with two screws), then snapping the tweeter into the cup. Flush mounting is made easy through the use of the threaded flush mount adapter and plastic locking nut. For flush mounting the tweeter is snapped into the flush mount cup. Then the cup is secured to the flush mount adapter with a nut and clip washer. Once a cutout is made, the flush mount adapter (with the tweeter installed) is inserted through the hole. The large plastic locking nut is threaded onto the adapter (from behind the mounting surface) to hold the complete assembly securely in place. When flush mounted, the tweeters may be angled for optimum response and imaging. There are no provisions for angled surface mounting of the tweeters
Selectable Tweeter Output Level: Each crossover has 3 adjustments that allow you to select the tweeter output level according to system requirements and personal preference. The adjustments may be set to "-4dB", "5dB" or "0dB".
2-way Crossovers: The included crossovers use a 24dB/octave, 3500Hz high pass filter for the tweeters and a 24dB/octave, 3500Hz low pass filter for the woofers.
Crossover Mounting: There are 4 mounting holes in the base of each crossover; screws to mount the crossovers are not supplied. The crossovers are not weather proof, so they should not be mounted in locations, such as door panels, that will expose them to direct contact with water.
Gold Plated Crossover Terminals: The crossover terminals are gold plated for corrosion resistance.
