Design: The Tivoli Audio Model CD is an add-on single disc, slot-loading CD player. It is designed to compliment the Henry Kloss Model One or Model Two table radios, or as a simple addition to an existing stereo system. Note: The Model CD is not a stand-alone system because there is no built-in amplification or speakers. Even though you can listen only with headphones (not supplied), it should be connected to an amplifier, receiver, or a Henry Kloss table radio through the rear panel RCA outputs.

Disc Compatibility: The CD player can play audio CDs and CD-Rs. It cannot play 3-1/2" CDs, or any specially-shaped discs. It is also not recommended to use lens-cleaning discs, or CD-stabilizing rings.

Cabinet: The Model CD has a furniture-grade cherry wood cabinet.

Slot-loading: The CD player features a single-disc slot loading design. Once a disc is inserted approximately halfway, it is "pulled" into the player and playback automatically begins. You can eject the disc from the front panel or the remote control.

Front Panel Controls: The Model CD has a simplified front panel design with all of the main transport keys located below the CD slot. The front panel controls include: Power, Previous Track, Next Track, Fast Reverse, Fast Forward, Stop, Play/Pause, and Disc Eject.

Remote Control: The supplied credit card-sized remote control has the same transport keys as the front panel, plus Mute, Intro Scan, Volume Up, Volume Down, Repeat, Shuffle, and a Number Pad (1-10, 10+). Note: The volume up/down controls affect both the headphone volume and the level of the line outputs.

Repeat Modes: Using the remote control, you can press the Repeat button once to repeat the current track. (The display will show Repeat 1.) You can press the Repeat button a second time to repeat the entire disc. (The display will show Repeat All.) Pressing the Repeat button a third time cancels the repeat function. Repeat mode cannot be used with the Shuffle and Intro Scan modes.

Shuffle Mode: Using the remote control, you can press the "Shuf" button to hear the disc's tracks in random order. Pressing the button a second time cancels the shuffle mode. It is normal for tracks to repeat during shuffle play.

Intro Scan: Using the remote control, you can press the Intro button to start playback at Track 1 and audition the first 10 seconds of each track of the disc. The display will show "Intro" and the track number being played will flash on the Music Calendar matrix.

Direct Track Access: You can access any track on a CD directly with the remote control's number pad (1-10, 10+).

Headphone Output: The Model CD has a 1/8" mini-jack headphone output on the rear panel.

Line Output: Left and right gold-plated RCA outputs are located on the rear panel. The supplied audio patch cord (dual male RCA to male mini-plug) allows you to connect the Model CD to a Henry Kloss radio (or any system with a mini-jack auxiliary input). You can also use a standard RCA stereo patch cord to connect the Model CD to a receiver/amplifier with RCA inputs.
