Specifications
Overview: This unit can be used to convert a composite (RCA) video and RCA stereo audio signals to an RF signal that can be used on a television which does not have line level inputs. This allows you to connect a source such as a DVD Player or Camcorder (which normally do not have RF outputs) to a television which only has an RF (Coax) input. Please, note that the audio transmitted out by this modulator is mono, and the cables needed to connect this unit are not supplied.
Rear Panel Controls and Inputs/Outputs:
- 12V DC Input: AC power input
- To TV: RF Coax output (threaded): Used to connect this unit to the Television.
- Channel 3 or 4 Switch: used to select either channel 3 or 4 to view on the television (to view the source connected to the RF modulator, the television must be set to the same channel as the switch)
- Ant in: RF Coax input (threaded): Used to connect an RF source (such as cable TV, VCR, etc.) to the unit to replace the RF input that this unit occupies on the Television.
- 75/1K Ohm switch: Used to get the best picture on the Television depending on the source unit. Simply try both settings to see which works best for the particular source connected to this unit.
- Video input: composite (RCA) video input, which is used to accept the video signal from the source unit
- Audio in: RCA stereo input used to accept the audio signal from the source unit. Note: Although this unit will accept stereo signals, the RF output signal of the modulator will be mono.
