Julie and J.R. cover the coolest features of Sony's XBR6 LCD HDTVs in this short video, including its 1080p picture and 120Hz refresh rate.
JR: Hi, I'm JR.
Julie: And I'm Julie.
JR: And we're here in the Crutchfield studio today with the Sony XBR6 LCD HDTV. This is the 46" model.
Julie: Yep. Now XBR TVs have been famous for years for gorgeous picture quality, and the XBR6 line exemplifies that. They offer a really bright, vivid, and sharp picture that's just spectacular.
JR: Yeah.
Julie: XBR TVs are also famous, though, for really solid build quality.
JR: Right.

JR: Excellent.

Julie: You also get 120 Hz refresh rate, which means that when you're dealing with fast action scenes...
JR: Um-hm.
Julie:...like passing a football down the field, stuff like that.
JR: Or a golf ball flying through the air.
Julie: Um-hm, yeah. Anything where motion-blur might be a problem on lesser TVs...
JR: Yeah.
Julie:...120 Hz refresh rate takes care of that.
JR: That's excellent. You know, Julie, I was talking to a customer the other day. He needed a new TV, we were looking at the Sony's.
Julie: Um-hm, yeah.
JR: One of the things we had to be concerned about was that, was it going to fit in the cabinet or not. And, you know, one of the reasons was because his old TV was a standard, just you know, non-widescreen, non-high-definition TV. So, we were looking at these TVs and we were glad to find out that this TV does fit, when some others wouldn't.
Julie: Right.
JR: One of the reasons for that, Sony, in their wisdom, put the speakers on the bottom.
Julie: And that's really important because...
JR: Yeah.
Julie:...a couple of inches difference...
JR:...narrower width.
Julie: Yeah.
JR: Fits the cabinet — this is the TV he went with.
Julie: That's great. Well, the XBR6, in a nutshell, is going to be good for somebody who doesn't want to pay for the super high-end, fancy XBR TVs, but demands that XBR picture quality in a television. And that's what you're going to get with the XBR6 line.
