I recently replaced a DVD player purchased from Crutchfield a few years ago. It was connected to a video switch housed in an AV cabinet with the typical tangle of cables. I was able to find the right cable quickly due to the cables being labeled on both ends. I'm glad I took the time during the original install to label everything Pros: Very complete set of labels. Easy to use. Color coded. Cons: None Was this review helpful? Yes | No 3 out of 5 Good idea not done well Written By LWC, San Diego on Monday, February 13, 2012 The labels are a good idea in that they make keeping track of wires much easier, but the idea is not well executed. For one thing, the writing surface has a shinny finish that makes it very difficult to add any writing to the labels. Also, the plasticizing that give it the finish is not strong enough to prevent the labels from tearing once they are on the wire. Pros: Convenience in keeping track of wires to be attached to the equipment. Cons: Platicized surface makes writing on the label very difficult, but its not strong enough to prevent the label from tearing off the wire accidentally. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I labeled and wired-up the 30 or so connections before finding that the unit was defective. In two days, when Crutchfield had replaced the defective receiver, the labels made it very easy to wire-up the replacement. There is a wide assortment of devices but I still took advantage of one of the blank user defined labels. Pros: Wide assortment Easy to read Color coded Cons: Glossy finish improves strength but the paper label can still tear 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
