Sanus

Our take on the Sanus LL11-B1

The ultra-thin Sanus LL11 mount holds your flat-panel LCD or plasma TV a scant 9/16" from the wall — just about as close as you can get. It's the ideal wall-mount for many of the latest ultra-thin TVs. Yet this durable heavy-gauge design is strong enough to keep your TV firmly in place. The LL11 can support a TV with a screen size of 37" to 70", and a weight of up to 150 lbs.

The mount's brackets can easily be shifted to the right or left, in case the wall studs are a little off-center. You can also make small adjustments after the mount is affixed to the wall to level it, or even change the height. And the handy ClickStand at the bottom of each vertical brace swings out to prop your mounted TV away from the wall, to make cable hookup a breeze — without removing the TV from the mount.

Features

Overview: The Sanus VisionMount LL11-B1 Super Slim Low-Profile Wall TV Mount features an innovative design which emphasizes the sleek look of your ultra-thin LCD, plasma, or LED TV by placing it just 9/16" from the wall. The LL11-B1 offers additional exclusive features that make it incredibly easy to install and use. ClickStand technology holds the bottom of the TV away from the wall for easy cable access without removing the TV from the mount. Convenient quick-release tabs on both mounting brackets stay hidden, but easily pull down to unlock the TV from the wall plate for cable access. The ProSet feature allows post-installation height and leveling micro-adjustments for perfect positioning after hanging. Lateral shift allows the TV to move left and right on the wall plate so it is placed exactly where you want it, even with off-center studs. Wall plate mounting holes are designed to accommodate 16" or 24" studs. Universal mounting pattern fits virtually any 37" - 70" flat-panel TV up to 150 lbs.

Compatibility: The LL11-B1 universal wall-mount bracket is designed to fit flat-panel plasma and LCD monitors from 37" to 70". The TV can have a maximum weight of 150 pounds.

Construction: The bracket is constructed of heavy-gauge steel with a durable powder-coated black finish.

Super Slim Low-Profile Design: The VisionMount LL11-B1's super slim low-profile mount design places your flat-panel TV just 9/16" from the wall.

ProSet: ProSet post-installation height and leveling adjustments allow TV to be perfectly positioned after hanging. Once installed, your TV or wall-mounted furniture may not appear completely level with its surroundings. ProSet technology lets you make micro-adjustments to height and level after mounting to ensure perfect positioning.

ClickStand: The LL11-B1's ClickStand feature allows you to tilt the bottom of the TV outward (8-degrees/3.0625-inches) and hold it there, giving you easy access to the back panel for connecting cables. Once all the cables have been plugged in, you can release the ClickStand and securely lock the TV into position on the wall plate.

Mounting: The wall plate must be mounted to wall studs or anchored to a brick, block, or concrete wall using the supplied lag bolts. The slots in the wall plate can accommodate a variety of stud spacing, allowing you to easily mount the TV to wall studs that are 16" or 24" on center. Once the wall plate is anchored to the wall studs and the monitor brackets (with the TV attached) are hooked onto the wall plate, the TV can slide left or right, allowing you to center the TV on the wall.

Note: Each monitor bracket has multiple bolt holes and can accommodate vertical hole spacing (on the back of the TV) from 3-15/16"(100mm) to 19-3/4" (500mm). Since the monitor brackets can slide on the wall plate, the horizontal hole spacing on the back of the TV can range from 11-13/16" (300mm) to 35-5/16" (896mm).

Steel Stud Mounting: If you wish to mount this Sanus wall mount in a building with steel stud walls, you will need the Sanus SSMK1 Steel Stud Mounting Kit (051SSMK1). Steel stud walls are typically found in commercial applications, such as office buildings, warehouses, and condominiums.

Mounting Hardware: The LL11-B1 comes with M4, M5, M6, and M8 bolts to mount the monitor brackets to your TV.

VESA: Given the mounting bracket's range of motion, it will accommodate the VESA 300, 400, 300 x 200, 400 x 200, 400 x 300, and 600 x 400 mounting hole patterns in accordance with industry standards set by the Video Electronics Standards Association.

Installation Tools: The following tools are recommended for mounting the LL11-B1:

  • Stud finder
  • Punch
  • Level
  • Phillips-head screwdriver
  • Electric drill
  • Drill bits: 3/16" (wood studs) and 5/16" (masonry)

Great Buy Overall

Written By Jezzcar99, Nashville, TN on Friday, September 09, 2011

So slim and heavy duty, your tv will look great on wall. The release mechanism is a bit cheap and will eventually break depending on how much you need to access behind the tv but the wall mount will still be completely usable.

Sanus LL11-B1

Written By SteveC, Chicago, IL on Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Overall I am disappointed with this product. The product mixes sturdy metal components with flimsy plastic parts and nylon pull cords. The first product was delivered with a cracked plastic locking piece. Crutchfield were excellent in replacing this immediately. The product is easy to install on the TV and wall and the leveling set screws are a nice feature. However, the mount is so slim it is very difficult to fit many cables in the space behind the TV and have it sit flush to the wall. My Sony Bravia also came with a power plug that was way too long to fit into a wall socket behind the TV and would require a recessed outlet. All this said, I was able to mount the TV flush. Unfortunately, the nylon release cords pass through a small aperture in the metal bracket and take two 90 degree turns as they do so. One of the cords was severed by this while operating the bracket release rendering the release mechanism useless. In the end I replaced the mount with a mount that works perfectly and is only a little thicker than the Sanus and has a tilt feature.

Sanus LL11-B1 with a Samsung 5*" Plasma

Written By Doug, Johns Island, SC on Tuesday, March 01, 2011

I got a scratch & dent model, no problem at all. Instructions were weird, but
product worked well, and the adjustable qualities of the mount are very cool.
Still have to snake the cables through the wall, but that's for another day.

Super Slim

Written By Suds, Palmetto State on Tuesday, December 07, 2010

The only draw back to this mount is there is very little room to get behind your TV if you
need to add/remove cables. I mean it can be done, but you have to coach your
kids/wife/significant other through the procedure becasue they are the only ones in the
house who have hands small enough to reach behind it. . . no lie. But if you want a total
distance of 3" from the wall to the front of the TV, depending on your model, then this is
the bracket you want. I am not disappointed at all, the TV looks great mounted to the
wall, and I do get compliments about the slim desgin of the mount, and the overall look
of the TV, and I do not want to forget to mention that it is a super sturdy mount.

Sanus LL11-B1

Written By ChrisP, Summerville, SC on Monday, November 08, 2010

This could not have been easier to install. I love how close it mounts my new TV
(Samsung PN50C7000) to the wall while still giving me access so I can attach the
cables. The only issue I had was getting the TV to lock onto the mount. It was only a
minor issue.

Be Careful

Written By Jimbo, West Hartford on Monday, November 01, 2010

Product was easy to install (both to the wall and the TV) and the cord pulls work to give
you just enough room to plug in wires but the TV tilts upward by a very small angle after
installation. You need to be care ful to think the process thru beore installing to make
sure all cords will fit and that the final tilt is the way you want it.

Not for the Samsung UN55C8000

Written By Damon, C.C., California on Monday, September 27, 2010

This mount is definately thin and close to the wall, but the supplied bolts are too long for the Samsung UN55C8000. Had to buy suitable substitute hardware to attach the brackets to my T.V. It was also very difficult to lock the brackets to the wall mount and as someone else has stated, the T.V. plug stuck out off the wall too far, thankfully I had installed a new socket behind my T.V. and just recessed it into the wall. Unfortunately I cannot put a wall plate on it, but it is behind the television so it is not an eye-sore.

its thin, but...

Written By , nj on Tuesday, July 06, 2010

While crutchfield customer service is great, they should not have recommended this mount for my TV (LG PDK750). There is not enough room for the plug (a/v and power) as it sticks out of the rear of the tv. i essentially had to carve my wall to accommodate the a/v plugs and had to buy a special flat extension cord and rig up something on the side of the tv. if your tv has all the connections on the side, it would be a neat product as the product is a clean simple design.

[Editor's Note: Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We have removed this wall mount from the accessories of the LG 60PK750.]
