Features

Overview: The Nikon WU-1a is a plug-in wireless mobile adapter that allows you to connect your compatible Nikon DSLR camera to your Wi-Fi-equipped smartphone, tablet, or other smart device. Through the wireless connection, you can automatically load photos and videos to your device as you take them, use your smart device to remotely take photos on the camera, or download existing pictures from the camera's memory card to your device. Once you have downloaded images to your smartphone, you can share them via email, texts, or social networking sites. The WU-1a plugs into the camera's USB/AV connection.

Compatibility: As of December 2017, the WU-1a is compatible with the following Nikon cameras: D5200, D3300, D3200, D7100, Df, Nikon 1 S2, Coolpix A, Coolpix P520, Coolpix P530, Coolpix P7800, and Coolpix P330.

Wi-Fi Specification: The WU-1a is compatible with a wireless LAN operating on IEEE 802.11b/g/n. The maximum range is approximately 33-49 feet.

Wireless Mobile Adapter Utility: The Wireless Mobile Adapter Utility application must be installed on the smart device before it can be used with the WU-1a. The app is compatible with smartphones and tablets running the following operating systems: iOS 8.4 or later or Android 4.0 and up.
