The Boston Acoustics Micro130x will reach out and grab you with its punchy, lifelike sound. The 1" dome tweeter and 4-1/2" woofer are mounted in a cast aluminum front baffle that reduces cabinet resonances to enhance clarity. The Micro130x's surprising midbass response will satisfy many music-only listeners, and you can easily pair it with a subwoofer to enjoy deep, high-impact bass. The Micro130x is sold individually, not in pairs, so you can put together as many speakers as make sense for your favorite listening space: improve on your PC sound with a desktop system, create a stereo system using two 130x speakers and a sub, or design a home theater system. And along with great sound, you'll get easy, out-of-the-box wall-mounting, thanks to the included bracket. Got a flat-panel TV? Tweeter: The Micro 130x uses a 1" VR aluminum dome tweeter for clear high frequencies.

Woofer: The Micro 130x has a 4-1/2" copolymer woofer. The enclosure is ported on the back panel.

Grille: The Micro 130x is equipped with a non-removable black metal mesh grille.

MagnaGuard: The speaker features MagnaGuard magnetic shielding which ensures the speaker's magnetic field does not interfere with a CRT television's picture.

Gold-plated Binding Posts: The wire terminals are gold-plated, 5-way binding posts, allowing you to connect the speaker wire using dual banana plugs, single banana plugs, pin connectors, spade terminals, or bare wire. It is recommended that you use at least 18-gauge speaker wire for runs up to 25'. Thicker 16-gauge or larger is recommended for runs 25' and longer.

Bass Management Recommendation: When setting bass management parameters on your home theater receiver, the outputs for this speaker should be set to "Small" with the subwoofer's crossover point at 80 Hz. It is also recommended that the subwoofer in your system should be wired through the receiver's LFE output.

Mounting

Rubber Feet: The speakers come with 4 rubber self-adhesive feet for each speaker to help secure them in place to prevent slippage and vibration.

Wall Mounting: The speaker includes an "L-type" wall mount bracket with two toggle bolts to secure the bracket to a hollow wall. The speaker has a 1/4-20 threaded screw hole on the bottom to attach the speaker to the bracket.

Excellent speakers for the price. Using as front and rear speakers in 5.1 system. Compact size fits in well in any room.
