Display Features
7" TFT LCD Monitor: The XDVD9101 single-DIN DVD
receiver features a motorized retractable 7" TFT Active Matrix, 16:9 touch-screen LCD display with an adjustable
viewing angle. The resolution of the display is 480 x 234 for a total of
336,960 pixels with a contrast ratio of 350:1. The screen has a 120° horizontal viewing angle (60° left or
right), and a 90° vertical viewing angle (30° up and 60° down). The display is
retractable and slides in and out electronically.
Display
Angle Adjustment: You can adjust the unit's retractable monitor's vertical angle for better
visibility. There are 4 display angles to choose from. You can also adjust the
viewing distance of the retractable monitor. There are 3 viewing distances to
choose from.
Picture Adjustment: You can
adjust the displays brightness, sharpness, color, contrast and tint from 0 to +20.
Video Lockout: For safety reasons, you cannot view a video source on the built-in monitor as long as the
vehicle is in motion. In order to display video, the supplied yellow/blue wire must be
hardwired into the vehicle's parking brake light circuit, and the vehicle's
parking brake must be engaged and disengaged in a preset sequence.
Secondary LCD Display: The
Dual XDVD9101 is equipped with a secondary LCD Display which displays audio
source information when the unit's 7" TFT LCD monitor is closed.
12/24 Hour Clock: The unit's built-in clock will display
12-hour AM/PM time in USA frequency spacing mode. In European frequency spacing
mode, the clock will display 24-hour time.
Hard-Key Controls:
In addition to the touchscreen controls, the unit includes frequently used
buttons along the front lower panel of the unit.
Anti-Theft Code: You may program the unit with a 4 digit security
code. Once the unit has been programmed with a security code, the code must be
entered to use the unit after it has been disconnected from power for more than
40 seconds.
Audio Section
Preamp Outputs: The XDVD9101 has 5 channels of preamp outputs: front L/R, rear L/R, and mono-subwoofer. The
mono-subwoofer output has an independent audio level setting from 0 to 12.
Preset EQ Curves: The Dual CD Receiver features the
following preset EQ curves to customize your music listening - Flat, Classic,
Pop, Rock, or User.
Bass And Treble: The Bass and Treble and be independently
adjusted from -5 to +5 in User mode.
Loudness Curve: Activating this feature will enhance the
bass and treble frequencies when listening to music at low volume.
Radio Functions
AM/FM Tuner: The Dual XDVD9101 features a built-in AM/FM
tuner which allows you to store up to 24 FM station presets and 12 AM station
presets. In addition to preset tuning, XDVD9101's tuner allows Seek and Manual
tuning of AM/FM stations.
Disc Playback
Disc Compatibility: The Dual XDVD9101 supports playback of DVD-Video, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, and CD-R/RW
discs.
MP3/WMA Playback: The XDVD9101 can play MP3/WMA audio files that have been recorded on CD-ROM, CD-R, and
CD-RW discs. The files must be recorded in ISO 9660 Level 1 or 2, or Joliet file
format. Compatible bit rates are 8 to 320 kbps for MP3, and 32-192 kbps for
WMA. Recorded discs can have up to 3,000 files and 256 folders. The headunit
will display MP3 ID3 Tag and WMA Tag information. Playback
functions include file skip, fast forward (2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x), file repeat,
folder repeat, file random play, and direct file select for MP3/WMA audio file
playback.
JPEG Playback: The XDVD910 also supports playback JPEG still images
recorded onto a CD-ROM, CD-R, or CD-RW disc.
Electronic Skip Protection: This unit is equipped with a high-speed flash memory buffer for skip
resistant playback. This ESP offers skip protection for DVD, CD, MP3, and WMA
discs.
Touch Controls: During DVD playback, you can control certain
operations simply by touching an area of the screen. You can touch the bottom
left two-thirds of the screen to start the current chapter over, or the bottom
right two-thirds of the screen to skip to the next chapter. Touching the top
left one-third of the screen allows you to switch sources; while touching the
top right one-third of the screen allows you to search for a scene by time,
title or chapter. Pressing the top center of the screen activates the DVD Disc
Menu control buttons, while pressing the bottom center briefly displays the
information screen.
Multi-Angle Display: This
function allows you to choose the viewing angle of scenes that were shot from a
number of different angles.
Note: This function is
limited to DVDs recorded with multiple camera angles.
Fast
Forward/Fast Reverse: When playing a DVD or CD, there are five fast-play
speeds in both directions (2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, and 32x).
Repeat Play: When playing a DVD, you can repeat the current chapter or title. When playing a Video CD, you
can repeat the current track. For MP3/WMA, you can repeat the current file or
folder. A-B
Repeat allows you to repeat any portion of a DVD.
Zoom Mode: Using the remote control, you can change the magnification of the image from normal to 1/4x,
1/3x, 1/2x, 1 x , 2x, 3x, or 4x. While the image is enlarged, you can pan the screen up, down, left, and
right.
Parental Control: Parental Control allows you to restrict
DVD playback according to a predetermined level. You can select a parental
control rating from 0-8, which is protected by a 4-digit password.
USB/iPod Connectivity
USB Port: The Dual XDVD910
features a front-panel USB type-A port for playback of MP3, WMA, and JPEG files
stored on a USB flash drive. The files must be recorded in FAT16 or
FAT32 file format. Compatible bit rates are 8 to 320 kbps for MP3, and 32-192 kbps for
WMA. Recorded discs can have up to 3,000 files and 256 folders. The headunit
will display MP3 ID3 Tag and WMA Tag information. Playback
functions include file skip, fast forward (2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x), file repeat,
folder repeat, file random play, and direct file select for MP3/WMA audio file
playback.
iPod Direct: Most iPods from 3rd generation to 6th
generation, equipped with the proprietary dock connector, can be connected to and controlled by the head
unit using the front-panel USB port and 3.5mm AV input, along with the supplied
iPod connector cable. When the iPod is connected, it can be controlled
via the unit's touch-screen during audio playback (iPod's controls will be
locked). The screen displays all information including playlists,
artists, albums, and songs. You can also view pictures and videos from a 5th
generation iPod video (you will need to control video playback using the iPod
click-wheel). In addition, your iPod will charge while
connected and the system is turned on. The XDVD910 is "Made for iPod" compatible
and support the following iPod model features (as of Nov. 2009):

Note: The iPod photo/video display of the unit
will not operate while the vehicle is moving. The parking brake will
need to be engaged just like when watching a DVD. Apple iPod/iPhone
software updates may change functionality results. If you download a
newer software version, you may need to reset the headunit and your
iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may
need to revert to the older software version or wait until an newer
software update is available.
AV Connections
A/V Input: The Dual
XDVD9101 features two audio/video inputs. There is a 3.5mm A/V input on the
unit's front-panel and a composite video/stereo RCA A/V input on the
rear-chassis for connecting external A/V equipment to the headunit.
Video Out: This
RCA composite video jack allows you add an external monitor.
Camera Input: This RCA composite video jack allows you connect an optional rear view camera. The head unit features a function that automatically switches to the rear camera
image when a rear camera is installed on your vehicle. When the shift lever is
in the reverse position, the screen automatically switches to the rear view
camera. In the menu, you can switch the image from Normal to Reverse
Remote Control
Wireless Remote Control: In addition to the unit's touch-screen panel
and hard-key controls, the XDVD9101 also comes supplied with a full-functioning
IR wireless remote control for convenient operation.
