Driver Technology

Dynamic Balance: Dynamic Balance is a proprietary Polk Audio technology using laser imaging to determine what combination of speaker materials create the least amount of resonance. Eliminating resonance in speakers results in a wide, smooth response and low distortion.

Drivers: The drivers used in the RM7 speaker are as follows:

Midrange: The satellite speaker features one 2-1/2" dynamic balance composite cone driver, which is lightweight and efficient, resulting in clear, distortion-free midrange.
Tweeter: The RM7 has a high-performance 1/2" dynamic balance composite semi-dome tweeter for sweet highs and more lifelike imaging.

Enclosure Design

Enclosure: The RM7 features an acoustic suspension, non-resonant composite enclosure with a high-gloss finish (white or black) for great looks and natural sound. The three-sided cabinet design minimizes the visual impact on walls and shelves while the integrated baffle and anti-diffraction grille design allows maximum sound dispersion with minimum diffraction for superior imaging and room-filling sound.

Connections

Speaker Terminals: The spring clip terminals located on the rear of the speaker will accept pin connectors and bare wire.

Mounting Options

Video Shielded: The RM7 is magnetically (or video) shielded for safe placement near your TV or computer monitor without causing picture interference.

Mounting Options: The RM7 can be placed on a shelf or table top without a stand due to its flat base. The satellite speaker can also be wall mounted using the supplied wall mount bracket which allows the speaker to swivel horizontally. In addition, the RM7 is compatible with Polk's SA-3 floor stands.

Back Surround Sound Speakers

I really, really like these speakers - once I got them tuned with the receiver, the front speakers and the room the sound they produce is great. I have four of them across the back wall of my study that I use for back surround sound speakers. They are the perfect size for my study - a small room. Another benefit is these speakers come with wall mounts - nothing to write home about but they do the job just fine..
