The Polk RM8 speakers team vibrant sound with a décor-friendly design. These speakers feature two woofers set at a 45-degree angle, which helps them create a large, spacious soundfield. The heavy-duty composite enclosures fight resonance for crisp and accurate sonic performance.
Use the RM8s as additional rear-channel speakers with the Polk RM85 or RM95 home theater speaker systems and enjoy even more convincing surround effects with your seven-channel receiver. Or team them with a Polk powered subwoofer to create a stereo music system for smaller rooms. Each RM8 includes both a pivoting wall bracket and tabletop stand, giving you a variety of placement options.

Dynamic Balance: Dynamic Balance is a proprietary Polk Audio technology using laser imaging to determine what combination of speaker materials create the least amount of resonance. Eliminating resonance in speakers results in a wide, smooth response and low distortion.
Wide Dispersion Array Satellites: The RM8 wide dispersion array satellite speakers create a more enveloping, less localizable surround effect because the speaker's drivers are mounted on opposing baffles for a broader and larger front-stage sound field and a more immersive and atmospheric surround field. The RM8's feature a designated left and right speaker for proper speaker placement. The speakers feature two 2-1/2" dynamic balance composite drivers mounted on different sides of the speaker's enclosure and one 3/4" silk/polymer composite dome tweeter for rich, real life imaging.
Enclosure Design
Enclosure: The RM8 wide dispersion array satellite speakers feature an acoustic suspension, non-resonant composite enclosure with a high-gloss finish (black or white) for great looks and natural sound. The three-sided cabinet design minimizes the visual impact on walls and shelves while the integrated baffle and anti-diffraction grille design allows maximum sound dispersion with minimum diffraction for superior imaging and room-filling sound.

Speaker Terminals: The spring clip terminals located on the bottom of the array satellite speakers will accept pin connectors and bare wire.
Mounting Options
Video Shielded: The RM8 satellite speakers are magnetically (or video) shielded for safe placement near your TV or computer monitor without causing picture interference.
Mounting Options: The RM8 wide dispersion array satellite speakers feature a removable base which allows you to place the speakers on a shelf or table top. The base adds approximately 0.4375" to the height of the speaker. The array satellite speakers can also be wall mounted using the supplied wall mount bracket which lets you rotate the speaker horizontally. In addition, the RM8 satellite speakers are compatible with Polk's SA-3 floor speaker-stands.

these rm8 speakers have a very small footprint and we are using them as our front speakers connected to an Onkyo receiver. I have nothing but good things to say about them. The sound is full and rich and you will not find a better speaker for the money.
