Features Warranty Information Features Product Overview: The Monster Power Home Theatre In-Wall Power Center provides "Clean Power" and surge protection for flat screen TVs and projectors. It is designed to be installed in-wall, behind a wall-mounted flat screen TV. This unit is designed for 15-amp systems, and can be used for existing construction or new construction. Monster Clean Power Stage 1 v.2.0: Unfiltered AC power is filled with noise, surges, and spikes that can degrade the overall performance of flat screen and projection TVs. This Monster Power Center incorporates Monster Clean Power Stage 1 circuitry, which filters AC power line noise, making it ideal for home theater systems. Grounding Plate: A 24-carat gold plated grounding plate is included to provide a single grounding point to eliminate noise and hum. Modules: The modules included with the Power Center include: Clean Power/Surge Suppression Module: This module features patented Monster Clean Power Stage 1 v.2.0 to reduce interference coming through the AC power line. It has 3 diagnostic indicator lights (Clean Power On, Protection On, and Ground OK), and Alarm Off and Display Off switches. The module offers 1260 joules of surge protection and 50-Amp peak current capacity. Two-outlet AC Receptacle: This 15A-rated duplex outlet gives you receptacles for two components. It has an isolated ground to safeguard your system from over voltages and spikes. Triple Coaxial Connection (with Pass-Thru): This module has 3 SurgeGuard-protected 2.0 GHz coaxial connections for protecting satellite TV, TV/Cable, Cable modem, or other in-wall coax connections. The connections are mounted off-center to allow for a cable pass-through area for neatly feeding through other A/V cables, such as HDMI, DVI, Component Video, S-Video or Composite Video or Audio cables. The pass-through area is covered by stiff, nylon bristles to hold the cable and cover the gaps. Blank Decora Plate: A blank, white Decora plate is used whenever the other inserts are not needed. Power Cable: A 2-1/2' High Current IEC Powerline 200 AC power cable is provided to connect the TV to the In-Wall Power Center. This high-density, double-shielded AC power cord is specifically designed to maximize power transfer. The Monster power center is convenient and offers both surge protection and clean power. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I wanted hidden power (check!), surge protection (check!), and clean power not reduce the hum from my Kuro display (um, not so much). However, I just think that means that it's not the power supply, but the plasma display that's causing the issue. Nothin wrong with the in-wall power center, just didn't fix what I was hoping would disappear. 2 out of 3 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I purchased the monster inwall power center and had an electrician come in to install it. He had to use a metal receptacle instead of the plastic one to meet code. He also hooked up another 15amp outlet to the power center. Now all my components are protected and are receiving clean power. I like the fact that the LCR screen completely hides the power center. Also liked the third cut out for running the HDMI, RJ45 cable inside the wall, making a very clean installation. 3 out of 3 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I ran conduit so I purchased a metal mounting box instead of the plastic one provided. The ability to change out the plate with the 3 cable hook-ups is convenient. I changed mine out to an HDMI connection plate purchased through Crutchfield. The flexibility is there should you wish to add additional connections in the future. The power cord supplied did not quite fit my Sony TV as well as I would have liked but it worked. Could have also used the power cord that came with the TV. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
