My system also includes Infinity Reference 3012cf 3-1/2" speakers in the dash--along with a Sony CDX-GT310 CD Receiver, a Sony CDX-757MX 10-disc CD/MP3 Changer and Sirius Radio. The sound of these full-range speakers is outstanding. They can really thump on the bass, but also do well with mids and highs. A setup that includes an amp and a more high-powered system would probably need something more powerful. Installing these speakers was very easy, but I will give you a tip. Mount them with the tweeter in the down position in the front doors. Otherwise, your window will snag the wires when rolled down and disconnect them. Also, take the plastic spacer off the factory speakers, and clip them on the new ones. Very easy 15 second process that makes mounting the speakers very easy. The increased sound quality with the stock head unit is huge. I can now hear the symbols that I couldn't before, and the entire sound range is greatly increased. I will eventually replace the stock head unit, but for now these speakers really do the trick for a big sound quality improvement for a small price. Anyone can install these in a truck like mine. When we bought the car one of the speakers was not working. I knew even with the factory receiver, replacing the rear speakers would be a great way to cheaply upgrade the sound system. And it was! The bass is clean and enough to rattle the car. I can't speak for other cars, but when I removed the old speakers and sat them beside these Pioneer speakers it actually made me laugh. The factory 6 X 9s were paper and the magnet was about 1/4 the size of these Pioneers. Following the included step by step instructions made installing these speakers a breeze. Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. I bought these speakers to replace the factory one in my son's 2002 Cavalier. When we bought the car one of the speakers was not working. I knew even with the factory receiver, replacing the rear speakers would be a great way to cheaply upgrade the sound system. And it was! The bass is clean and enough to rattle the car. I can't speak for other cars, but when I removed the old speakers and sat them beside these Pioneer speakers it actually made me laugh. The factory 6 X 9s were paper and the magnet was about 1/4 the size of these Pioneers. Following the included step by step instructions made installing these speakers a breeze. I Just installed these speakers on the front rear cross beam after mounting them in the QL cabinets. The speakers are being driven by an MDX70 Dual deck. Other speakers in the van are Two infinity 4X6 in the dash and one BTA6100 bazooka sub. The Pioneers really do fill in the mid range for me. Outstanding sound all the way arround for all types of music from rock to Jazz. Many thanks to the gang at Crutchfied for the technical support and speaker recomendations !!! I did not get the Rockford Fosgate system,because I did not want leather seats in Texas! The system in the car sounds good. It had tweeters in the dash and 6.25 in the door. The weak point was the 6x9's in the back, just mud! The brought the clarity and punch that the rear needed.
