Great product. Installed quickly with the help of the Crutchfield Master Sheet. I was able to turn the toggle switch to the 'On' position, and tuck all the wires, switches behind the fuse panel, so everything is hidden out of view. The only thing that is visible is the audio cable to hook up my wife's iPod. Sound is crystal clear, with no static. The only hiccup I see is the need to turn the volume on the iPod to maximum, while the master volume on the head unit is about half or more. But this may be personal preference. I don't necessarily blast the music, but I do like to be able to hear it above a whisper. Overall, great product. Highly recommend.

My Doughter attends school in Los Angeles and there are no available frequecys for her Ipod transmitter. This product was the fix. This modulator is very affordable and works well. Now she can use her Ipod again. She is very happy. I also put one in my old Lexus. It's working great as well, so I'm happy too.

I got this product because I didnt want to buy an expensive aftermarket stereo for my car which doesnt have an auxillary input for my ipod. I tried 2 other FM transmitters and honestly, it was a waste of money not to mention annoyance. The installation was not too hard with the mastersheets that Crutchfield supplied. The sound is pretty good, not the best (some slight interference at times) depending the area I guess, but it is definitely much better than my previous 2 FM transmitters and well worth the price. I also agree what others have said that the volume is lower through the device so you have to crank up your stereo volume higher than normal.
Overall, its a pretty good product. I would recommend to anyone who is thinking about getting a FM transmitter for their iPod or mp3 player.

I installed one of these in my 2004 F-350 and one in a 2005 Mustang. They work as advertised. You do need to turn up the volume settings on your iPod and the radio. You will also learn to turn both down when you shut down or you'll get surprised later!!
The installation was easy with simple hand tools. The only difficult part is getting an exact size hole in the dash for the switch. Drill it undersize and bring it to final size slowly with a file or die grinder. You don't want to go oversize on this by mistake or your switch will fall out of the hole.

I installed this unit in my GF's 2003 Xterra because there was absolutely NO other way to do so--in her Xterra with the Rockford Fosgate 6-disc audio system, there's no way to hook up an aux input other than an FM modulator like this unit.
And it works great!!! Installation was a breeze with the instructions provided by Crutchfield. I've installed units like this before so I didn't have any trouble, but literally ANYBODY could do this, especially with the pictured instructions in-hand.
The only cons that I can find are two things: the green LED light for the on/off switch is way too bright, especially at night. I would recommend getting another switch from on outside source ... any 12V switch will work. And, lastly, TURN YOUR RADIO DOWN BEFORE YOU SWITCH THE UNIT OFF!!! When you turn the unit off (depending on what kind of MP3 player you use) the radio will turn on instantly and if you have your volume up it'll be BLARING!
All in all, a perfect product that works flawlessly and delivers CD quality sounds through the radio!!
