The Sennheiser HD 1 On-ear headphones have an energetic sound signature, clean look, and "take anywhere" design. I enjoyed the small bit of time I got to use them. Music felt close and direct, sounding balanced and natural. And the bass is a powerful, while remaining tight and detailed.
Comfortable fit and solid build
While sound matters most, Sennheiser knows that headphones should feel good too. The HD 1 On-Ear headphones feature cushioned earpads covered in extra soft Alcantara® — think suede, only softer. Sennheiser further relaxed the fit with a durable yet flexible headband, made of stainless steel and Alcantara. The 'phones rest on your head without clamping too tightly, keeping you comfortable as you zone out listening to tunes.
Take calls and control your iPhone®
Connect the detachable cable to your Apple device, and you can take advantage of the three-button remote's full functionality. Play and pause music, skip forward and back, and adjust the volume. The built-in microphone also lets you take calls with your iPhone, easily controlled with the remote.

Overview: The Sennheiser HD 1 On-Ear headphones are stylish, high-quality headphones. They are lightweight and comfortable, with durable metal construction on the earcup and earcup sliders. The ear pads and headband are covered in Alcantara, a breathable, soft suede-like material. The HD 1 On-Ear headphones give you high-performance audio reproduction with rich, detailed sound. The M2 comes with a soft storage pouch and a clamshell, semi-hard case, plus a detachable cable with an in-line remote that is compatible with iPod/iPhone/iPad.
Design: The HD 1 On-Ear headphones have a closed-back, supra-aural (on-ear) design which isolates much of the background noise. The headphones are equipped with high-performance neodymium magnets. The impedance is lowered to 18 ohms so it will play portable devices at high volumes without overdriving the device's tiny amp. Hinges above each ear cup allow the headphones to fold up for storage in the included space-saving carrying case.
Detachable Cable: The HD 1 On-Ear headphones are equipped with a detachable 56" audio cable with a slender, right angled 3.5mm plug. The cable has an in-line Smart Remote and microphone. The cable connects to the right earcup via a 2.5mm sub-mini plug that twist-locks in place to prevent accidental disconnection.
Smart Remote: The 3-button Smart Remote lets you control iPod, iPhone, and iPad, as well as Android tablets and smartphones. The outer buttons control Volume Up and Volume Down, while the center button controls music playback and phone calls.
