About the Ring Stick Up Cam Battery
Maximum versatility
Maximum versatility
Ring doesn't want you to feel at all limited by their new Stick Up Cam Battery. You don't even have to stick it up — use the integrated base to place it on a tabletop or shelf. And it's weather-resistant, so you can mount it indoors or out.
Truly wireless
Ring makes a version of the Stick Up Cam that plugs in, which is a great option if you happen to have an outlet conveniently nearby or you want to use Power over Ethernet. But this version is totally wire-free, so it offers a bit more placement flexibility. It even comes with a quick-release battery you can remove for charging without taking the camera down.
Purchase an extra battery if you don't want to lose coverage while the depleted battery is recharging. Or, pick up the Solar Panel accessory for totally uninterrupted power. Network connection is via Wi-Fi® — so no cables to worry about there either.
Comes in black or white to fit your home's decor.
A robust app
The Ring mobile app lets you view the camera's live stream in real time from wherever you are. Press the talk button to have a chat with people or pets at home. Or — if you see uninvited guests — press the alarm button to activate the Stick Up Cam's siren to scare them off.
You can also adjust the range and sensitivity of motion zones within the app. Then customize motion schedules so that you only get notifications when you actually need them.
Optional cloud storage
The camera streams live footage to the app 24/7, but if you want to save or send video clips, you'll need a Ring Protect plan. Ring Protect is a subscription-based cloud storage service. The basic package ($4.99/month or $49.99/year) covers a single camera and allows you to save and share your Ring videos from that camera. You get a free, 30-day trial subscription when you activate your Ring device.
Installing multiple Ring devices? The Ring Protect Plus plan ($10/month or $100/year) includes cloud storage for unlimited Ring devices at a single location.
The Ring app shows you views from all your Ring cameras in one easy-to-navigate interface.
Just ask Alexa
I also have good news for Smart home fans — Ring cameras will work with Amazon Alexa-enabled devices for voice control. If you have an Amazon Fire TV, or an Echo Show or Spot, you can ask Alexa to show you the live stream from your Stick Up Cam.

Features
Overview: The Ring Stick Up Cam Battery is a versatile and smart security solution. The camera can be used indoors or outdoors, mounted on a wall or ceiling, or placed on a table top. The Stick Up Cam has an adjustable mounting bracket so you can aim the camera where you want. Like other Ring cameras, the Stick Up Cam works through the Ring Always Home app, which provides mobile notifications, two-way communication, and allow you to view live streaming video on your smartphone. The camera is powered by a long-lasting rechargeable battery. A wired version of the Stick Up Cam is also available.
Rechargeable Battery: The Stick Up Cam Battery comes with one rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery (3.65V, 6040mAh, 22.046Wh). The battery charges via USB using the supplied Micro USB cable, plugged directly into the battery. The battery charges in approximately 5 to 10 hours, depending on whether the USB cable is plugged into a USB port or into a wall outlet. A fully charged battery will last between 6 and 12 months, or approximately 1000 notification events. The Ring app will notify you when the battery is getting low. The battery has a quick-release clip that makes it easy to remove for charging. LEDs on the front of the battery indicate the charge level.
Optional Solar Panel: The Ring Stick Up Cam Battery can be powered by the sun with the optional Solar Panel. With an output of 2 watts at 5 volts, the panel keeps the battery in the camera charged so you'll never run out of power. The solar panel is available in black and white, and comes with a 13' cable and an adjustable mounting bracket.
Camera: The camera has a wide-angle lens with a wide 150° horizontal and 85° vertical field of view. The camera produces bright 1080p HD video in a Live View that you can watch on your phone, tablet, or computer. Adjustable motion sensors can detect movement up to 30 feet away. Up to three motion zones can be created to cover specific areas of your home, such as doorways, windows, and gates. When motion is detected, a notification will be sent to your smart device through the Ring app. Customizable motion schedules can be set up allow you to receive notifications only when you need them. Even with the lights off, the camera's infrared LEDs will enable the night vision.
110dB Siren: The camera features a 110-decibel siren alarm that will help scare off any intruders. The siren is remote activated from the Ring App on your smart device or computer.
Connectivity: The camera requires an internet connection with a minimum upload speed of 1 Mbps, with a 2 Mbps recommendation for optimum performance. The internet connection can be wireless via Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n @ 2.4GHz/5GHz) or via Ethernet.
Voice Assistant Compatible: The Ring Stick Up Cam Battery is compatible with both Alexa and Google Home voice-controlled "assistants." You can control the Ring security system by telling Alexa or the Google assistant to perform a specific action, such as turn on motion alerts, show the view from specific cameras, or play back videos. When you receive an alert, you can hear the announcements on your device. If you have an Echo Show or Spot, you'll be able to see live and recorded video on the screen, and conduct 2-way conversations with anyone captured on the live camera. Currently, live streaming from Ring devices is not compatible with Chromecast.
Ring App: The free Ring - Almost Home app pulls together all of your Ring devices, including Video Doorbells and Security Cameras. The app sends you an instant alert when someone triggers the camera's motion sensor, or rings your Ring Video Doorbell. You'll be able to see, hear, and speak to anyone on your property using your smart device. In addition, the app lets you create a virtual Neighborhood Watch and receive alerts from your neighbors. In the app, you can customize the Motion Zones, times for receiving (or not receiving) alerts, and how often to be notified for motion events. The Ring App is available for Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch running iOS 9.3 or later, and for Android devices running version 5.0 and up. The app also works with Windows 10 and Mac OS 10.13 and higher.
Ring Protect: The Ring app includes a free 30-day trial of Ring Video Recording, which lets you save, review, and share recordings from the app. Ring Protect plans are currently* $3.00 per month / $30.00 per year for basic coverage (per camera), or $10.00 per month / $100.00 per year for Protect Plus (unlimited cameras).

Mounted by garage so could see people coming up the driveway. Much better than a sound sensor that just alerts someone is there.
