Features
Overview: The Audiovox VOD10PS2
Mobile Video PlayStation2 features a drop-down 10.2" LCD monitor with a
built-in Sony PlayStation2
player. It can be used as a stand-alone display with
its supplied IR wireless headphones or can be integrated into your vehicle's
audio system using its audio/video RCA outputs or built-in FM transmitter. The
unit also features two AV inputs so you can connect optional external
audio/video sources to the VOD10PS2. The Audiovox VOD10PS2
overhead monitor includes an IR wireless remote control, two IR wireless
headphones, and two 2.4GHz wireless game controllers. The VOD10PS2 also comes
with two PlayStation2 video-games (Hot Shots Golf 3 and Ratchet Clank Going
Commando).
10.2" Widescreen Monitor: The unit
features a 10.2" widescreen 16:9 TFT Active Matrix LCD. The screen has a total
of 1,152,000 pixels (800 RGB x 480) and is compatible with NTSC sources. The
monitor has a backlit life of 10,000 hours. For the best viewing angle, you can
manually tilt the monitor up and down 180-degrees.
OSD (On-Screen Display): The unit's
OSD contains features and options that let you customize your system to change
the screen mode display, picture adjustment, and OSD language.
- Screen Mode Selection: You can
select to display either a 16:9 or 4:3 screen image.
- Picture Control Select: You
can adjust the LCD monitor's brightness, contrast, color, and tint.
- OSD Language: You can adjust
the on-screen display language to English, Spanish, French, or German.
Built-in Sony PlayStation2: The Audiovox VOD10PS2 features a built-in Sony
PlayStation2 entertainment console which allows playback of DVD discs
(DVD-Video, DVD-ROM, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW), CD discs (CD-Audio, CD-ROM), and
PlayStation2 console game discs (DVD-ROM, CD-ROM).
Note: The built-in Sony PlayStation2 features a separate power
button which needs to be "On" for the entertainment console to function.
Included PlayStation2 Games: The Audiovox VOD10PS2 comes supplied with two PlayStation2
games - Hot Shots Golf 3 and Ratchet Clank Going Commando.
Dual-shock Wireless Game Controllers: The Audiovox VOD10PS2 also comes with two
dual-shock
wireless (2.4GHz) game controllers. Each controller operates off of three "AAA"
batteries (included).
Memory Card Slots (optional): There are two memory card slots
for adding optional memory cards to save game data.
Wireless Remote Control: In
addition to the unit's hard-key controls along the frame, the roof mount monitor
comes supplied with an IR wireless remote control that operates all the
functions of the unit. The remote control is divided into two sections - Dark
Gray buttons on the top control the built-in PlayStation2, and Light Gray
buttons on the bottom of the remote operate the other functions of the unit. The
wireless remote control operates off of two "AAA" batteries (included).
Dual Wireless Headphones: The VOD10PS2
includes a built-in infrared transmitter for use with the supplied headphones.
The headphone volume is adjusted using the integrated controls on each headset.
The pair of headphones each operate off of two "AAA" batteries
(included).
Headphone Output: The VOD10PS2
features a 1/8" (3.5mm) headphone jack for connecting a wired headphone
(sold separately) for private audio
listening. This jack is controlled by the volume up/down buttons on the remote
control.
Built-In FM Transmitter: The
Audiovox VOD10PS2 features a built-in FM transmitter used to supply audio from the
unit over RF frequency to your factory headunit which is not equipped with
preamp audio RCA inputs. The unit's FM transmitter can be set between 16 FM
stations frequencies (88.1 to 91.1).
Audio/Video Output: The Audiovox
overhead monitor features a composite video output with stereo RCA output for
connecting this unit to your vehicle's in-dash multimedia headunit.
Audio/Video Inputs: The Audiovox
overhead monitor is equipped with two audio/video inputs, which consist of a
composite video input with stereo RCA outputs, for connecting
external audio/video sources to the VOD10PS2.
Dual LED Dome Lights: The roof
mount monitor contains two white LED dome lights that can be manually turned on
or off with a switch on front of the unit. The unit's LED dome lights can also
be wired to your factory dome lights so they turn on and off whenever your
interior factory lighting turns on or off with the opening of your vehicle's
doors.
Mounting: The VOD10PS2 mounts to roof
of your vehicle with the supplied metal mounting bracket and supplied hardware.
The Audiovox features a black plastic frame and comes supplied with
interchangeable, snap-on Pewter and Shale plastic frames to match your vehicle's
interior.
