This system includes a dual-outlet faceplate for your TV and another device, plus an inlet faceplate and power cord for making a connection to your line conditioner. Connect the two plates via in-wall power cable for a professional-looking installation and less cable clutter. The MIW-POWERKIT-PRO also comes with two dual "signal bay" faceplates for your audio and video cables, so you can run those through the wall, too. Features Overview: The MIW-Powerkit-Pro Max In-Wall System extends safe, protected AC power from Panamax Power Management components to a remotely installed flat panel TV, ceiling-mounted projector, or powered subwoofer. The inlet faceplate can be placed behind your equipment rack, and the outlet faceplate hides discreetly behind the remotely installed component for a neat, professional installation, without the bulky power strips or hanging power wires. In addition to the AC power inlet and dual outlets, two Max In-wall Dual Signal Bays are included for running your audio/video signal cables inside the wall. All of the MIW-Powerkit-Pro faceplates are compatible with standard dual gang in-wall J-boxes. 15-Amp Circuits: The MIW-Powerkit-Pro system is designed only for use with 15-Amp circuits utilizing a minimum of 14 AWG wiring. Design: The MIW-Powerkit-Pro consists of an inlet faceplate with a TwistLock connector and dual AC outlets for extending safe, clean AC power from a Panamax power conditioning component to equipment remotely installed away from the equipment rack. The AC inlet and outlets are connected by common in-wall power wiring (i.e. Romex). A 10' AC inlet cord is provided. There are also dual low-voltage signal bays with pass-through inserts for connecting or passing through audio and video cables between the equipment rack to the remote component. Optional MIW Signal Line Modules (sold separately) can also be used with the signal bays. AC Power Cables: The included 10' AC inlet cable has a TwistLock female plug that connects to the inlet faceplate's recessed socket. The dual AC outlets are also recessed to reduce the plug protrusion. Note: Even with the recessed plugs, the MIW-Powerkit-Pro is not recommended for use with the Samsung TV Ultra Slim Wall Mount (305WMN1000). The wall mount reduces the gap between the TV and the wall to 5/8". Low Voltage Signal Bays: You can use the low-voltage signal bays to pass through the component's video and audio cables. You can use the MIW Pass-Through insert, which comes installed on the mounting bracket, and cut a hole in the rubber grommet so that it fits tightly around the cable. Another option is to use a Panamax MIW signal-line module (sold separately), such as the MIW-5RCA, MIW-DATA, MIW-SVIDEO, or MIW-VGA. I like the electric power part of the kit, and the low power cable ports are great too .. I didn't use the plastic cutouts though, I installed regular boxes in the wall for these and they fit well .. the ones I used were also plastic (/pvc) but are full boxes that nail to studs, rather than hanging the panamax boxes on the sheetrock .. be sure to use a deep box for the AC power unit behind the TV, since the unit itself is relatively deep. I plug the power cable on this kit into a shelf mounted power conditioner, which works great..there's some redundancy b/c the panamax wall outlet has some noise conditioner in it, so it would work great on it's own without a power conditioner. the build seems very solid and so far, I'm very happy with this one!!
