About the Samsung SmartThings Outlet
Be smart with your power
With the Samsung SmartThings Outlet, you can wake up to a pot of fresh coffee each morning.
Be smart with your power
The wirelessly controlled Samsung SmartThings outlet plugs directly into an existing AC receptacle for easy home automation at the touch of an app. You can toggle connected devices on and off from your phone or tablet. The outlet talks wirelessly to the SmartThings hub, the brain of your customizable SmartThings home automation system. You can add as many compatible devices and sensors as you want, and control them all using the SmartThings Mobile app (Apple®/Android™/Windows®).
Turn on connected devices from anywhere
In addition to regular on/off commands, there are many interesting ways to use the outlet with your home automation system. The most intriguing to me is to have it respond to other smart triggers around the house. For instance, when the optional motion sensor in the bedroom knows you're awake, it will tell the coffee maker to brew a fresh pot. Have another outlet automatically turn on your desk lamp.
When you go to bed at night, have the dehumidifier turn on in the basement. The SmartThings outlet gives you easy control over your stuff. If you want to turn on a light or turn off the stereo you can do it anywhere, anytime.
SmartThings plays nicely with others too
Samsung's SmartThings is designed around an open platform. Not only can you use SmartThings accessories, but there are a wide range of products from different companies that easily integrate into the system. You can add light bulbs, thermostats, cameras, door locks, wireless speakers and more. Control everything from a single app. Here are some products that we carry that work beautifully with your SmartThings system:
- Bose® speakers, including the SoundTouch® 10 and Wave® SoundTouch® music system IV

Easy setup to network! Works great with the Osram Lightify bulbs in my living room table lamps. I bought 2 more for the bedroom lamps. Works great with Amazon Echo turning on everything with voice.
