Overview: This interface connects your iPod to select Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury factory audio systems. Its on-board software translates commands from your radio's satellite radio controls into commands the iPod understands. The interface provides the following benefits:

• Plays the iPod's audio output directly through your vehicle audio system for optimal sound quality playback.
• Controls the iPod via radio controls or the controls on the iPod.
• Charges the iPod's internal battery.

iPod Compatibility: This adapter is compatible with 4th and 5th generation iPods, iPod mini, iPod nano (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation), iPod classic, iPod touch (1st and 2nd generation), and iPhone/iPhone 3G.

Vehicle Compatibility: Please use the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector to confirm compatibility with your vehicle.

Controls: These factory radio controls give you access to iPod functions:

• Seek<>: Previous and Next track, hold to scan through the song
• Text: toggles display between artist, song, and album name
• Preset 1: iPod menu button
• Preset 2: iPod select button
• Preset 3: similar to counterclockwise rotation of the click wheel
• Preset 4: similar to clockwise rotation of the click wheel
• Preset 5: toggles between shuffle songs, shuffle albums, and shuffle off
• Preset 6: toggles between scan on, scan off, repeat on, and repeat off
