Features
Overview: The Alpine DCS-BT1 is a stand-alone Bluetooth
hands-free speaker and microphone for your vehicle. The Alpine DCS-BT1 supports
Bluetooth (version 2.1 + EDR) and provides hands-free communication and audio
streaming from your Bluetooth enabled cellular phone (up to 33'). The DCS-BT1
can be easily clipped onto your sunvisor in the vehicle. A versatile one-touch
button is all you need to answer/end your calls.
Pairing: You will need to pair the Alpine DCS-BT1 to your
Bluetooth enabled cellular phone. After pairing, the DCS-BT1 connects automatically
to your cell phone.
Note: The Alpine DCS-BT1 may not be
compatible with all Bluetooth enabled cell phones.
Bluetooth Hands-Free Communication: The Alpine DCS-BT1 supports
Bluetooth Headset/Hands-free profiles. The DCS-BT1 lets you make and receive
calls from your Bluetooth enabled cell phone. During an incoming call, you will
hear the voice prompt, "Call from 555-555-5555" or Caller ID (if applicable).
Simply press the Activity button to answer or end your call. You can also make
outgoing calls using the voice-dial function (if supported by your cell phone)
or using the last number redial function. In addition, the DCS-BT1 supports Call
Waiting, which allows you to answer a second call without hanging up the first
call.
Note: If your Bluetooth enabled cell
phone does not support "voice-dial" and you are
not redialing the last number called, you will need to
dial out using they keypad on your cell phone, before it
automatically transfers the call to the DSC-BT1.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The Alpine DCS-BT1 supports Bluetooth
A2DP/AVRCP profiles. The DCS-BT1 can be used to stream audio from your Bluetooth
enabled cell phone for music playback. With a simple double-click of the
Activity button, you can play and pause the music from your Bluetooth enabled
cellular phone.
Navigation Prompts: The DCS-BT1 can also announce navigation guidance
prompts from your Bluetooth enabled phone. This means no more trying to listen
to navigation prompts from the phone's tiny speaker (feature must be supported
by your cell phone).
Omnidirectional Microphone and Built-in Loudspeaker: Its unique
omnidirectional microphone and loudspeaker design ensures reliable sound
quality, even if the unit is clipped to your visor with the visor turned up.
One-Touch Activity Button: The Alpine DCS-BT1 features an easy-to-use,
one-touch Activity button. This button is used for pairing up with your cell
phone, answer and end calls, and power on and off.
Volume Control: Just a simple twist of the unit's rotary knob allows
you to control the volume. Easy as clockwise for volume up, counter-clockwise
for volume down.
Sun Visor Clip: The Alpine DCS-BT1 features a removable clip
that can be attached to the sun visor of your vehicle.
Multilingual Support: The Alpine DCS-BT1 supports 10 languages - UK
English, US English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Mexican Spanish,
Brazilian Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, and Russian.
Rechargeable Battery: The Alpine DSC-BT1 features an integrated
rechargeable battery which can be recharged with the included cigarette lighter
adapter. You can get up to 400 hours of standby time, and 14 hours of talk time.
A voice prompt will conveniently alert you when the battery is low, to remind
you to charge your battery.
Note: You must charge the battery fully
(3-hours) before initial use.
Auto Shut-Off: If the paired phone device is out of range for 30
minutes or longer, the DCS-BT1 shuts off automatically after about a half hour
of inactivity.
