General Overview: The Omega REC-12 is a keyless entry system that includes 12 programmable features for maximum system customization. The REC-12 has two remote control outputs, anti-carjacking features, and dome light supervision. The system can flash the vehicle's parking lights and/or honk the horn to indicate status confirmation. The REC-12 comes with 2 one-way transmitters, each with a range of up to 1000'.

4-Button Remotes: Two 4410-07 transmitters with attached key rings are included with the system. The transmitters operate on a CR2032 battery. Each remote has 4 buttons with the following functions:

• Lock Button (press & release):
  • The horn will honk once
  • The lights will flash once
  • The doors will lock
  • The optional starter interrupt will arm
• Unlock Button (press & release):
  • The horn will honk twice
  • The lights will flash twice, then turn on
  • The doors will unlock
    • If the system is configured for driver's priority, only the driver's door will unlock. Press a 2nd time to unlock the other doors
  • The optional starter interrupt will disarm
• Trunk Button (press & hold for 3 seconds):
  • The horn will honk twice
  • The trunk will open (if connected)
  • The lights will flash twice, then turn on
  • The doors will unlock
  • The optional starter interrupt will disarm
• Red "..." Button (press & hold for 3 seconds):
  • Activates 3rd channel remote controlled output
  • There is no visual or audible indication from this system, unless the optional connected accessory provides audible/visual confirmation upon activation
• Panic (press & hold the Lock or Unlock button for 3 seconds):
  • The system will arm or disarm
  • The horn will honk continuously
  • The lights will flash continuously
• Other Functions:
  • Activate 4th Channel (press & release the Lock and Unlock buttons simultaneously)
  • Activate 5th Channel (press & release the Trunk and "..." buttons simultaneously)
  • Activate Remote Anti-Carjack: (while ignition is on, press and hold "..." button for 3 seconds)

Status LED: The REC-12 includes a Status Light (LED) to inform you of the system's operational condition, including the optional Starter Disable circuit and other automatic features that have been programmed to operate.

Driver Door Priority Unlock: The system can be connected so only the driver's door unlocks when a transmitter unlock button is pressed once; after the driver's door is unlocked, you may unlock the rest of the doors by pressing the unlock button a second time. An optional relay is required to install this feature.

Programmable Features: The following programmable features are easily programmed using only the ignition, valet button, and a transmitter:

• Doors Automatically Lock 90 Seconds After the Ignition Is Turned Off
• Doors Automatically Relock 90 Seconds After Remotely Unlocking
• Doors Lock with Ignition On and Unlock with Ignition Off
• Doors Unlock when Trunk Release activated
• Door Lock/Unlock Pulse Timing
• Dome light relay output
• Flashing light relay output
• Confirmation chirps
• Automatic starter disable
• Anti-Carjacking
• Parking lights for 30 seconds after unlock by transmitter
• "..." button operates 3rd channel or Panic

Starter Disable Output: There is a starter disable output that may be used in conjunction with a relay (sold separately) to disable your vehicle's starter whenever the doors are locked via the transmitter. The starter disable feature may be configured to automatically re-engage 90 seconds after the doors are unlocked with a transmitter, and it may be configured to engage automatically 90 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the "off" position. Installation requires an optional relay.

Anti-Carjacking: The system offers two forms of anti-carjacking protection. One is automatically activated when the ignition is turned on. The other is activated when you press and hold the "..." button for 3 seconds, while the ignition is on. When activated, the carjacking sequence operates as follows:

• Under normal operation, pressing the valet switch once after activating the sequence, will cancel the sequence immediately.
• If the sequence is not canceled, the horn will start chirping 53 seconds after activation. During the next 7 seconds, the sequence can be canceled with 1 press of the Valet switch.
• At 60 seconds, it enters the anti-carjacking mode and will honk the horn and flash the lights.
• At 90 seconds, the starter disable will engage. The only way to cancel the sequence is to turn the ignition off, back on, then within 10 seconds press the Valet switch. It is recommended to mount the Valet switch in a discreet location.

Antenna: The antenna is a 18" black wire hardwired to the module.

Optional Door Lock Interface: The REC-12 is compatible with the optional CrimeGuard/Omega vehicle-specific Door Lock Interfaces. These interfaces will plug directly into the keyless entry module, and can significantly reduce installation time. Optional Door Lock Actuators: The REC-12 works with OEM power door locking systems. If your vehicle does not have power door locks, an optional door lock actuator (514DS24) must be installed for each door you want to remotely lock and unlock.
