Overview: The iLIVE IS819B Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Speaker
System is a three piece wireless audio system which consists of an AM/FM clock
radio with iPod dock and two wireless powered speakers. The AM/FM clock radio
docking unit features a digital 2.4GHz ISM wireless transmitter, while each of
the powered speakers feature a digital 2.4GHz ISM wireless receiver. The iLIVE
wireless speaker system has a range of 200' (line-of-sight) or 90' (indoors).
The IS819B wireless speaker system also includes an IR wireless remote control.
The iLIVE IS819B's main unit operates off of AC power, while the pair of
wireless speakers can be AC powered or battery powered.
Note: The AM/FM Clock Radio Docking Unit is not weather-resistant,
and should always be installed indoors.
AM/FM Clock Radio Docking Unit: The AM/FM Clock Radio Docking Unit
features an integrated digital 2.4GHz ISM wireless transmitter which
communicates with the systems wireless powered speakers by wirelessly
transferring audio from the AM/FM clock radio docking unit to the system's
powered speakers up to 200' (line-of-sight), or 90' (indoor). The AM/FM Clock
Radio Dock Unit is equipped with a built-in AM/FM tuner, backlit LCD display,
Digital Clock, iPod dock, and auxiliary input.
- LCD Display: The iLIVE IS819B features a front-panel white
backlit LCD display for indicating clock and source status (AM/FM station,
iPod or Aux). You can adjust the brightness level of the unit's display.
This unit does not offer iPod text display.
- Digital Clock with Timer: The iLIVE IS819B features a digital
clock display with built-in timer. You can set the unit to turn on
automatically at a predetermined time, as well as select which source (AM/FM
or iPod) will be played.
- AM/FM Tuner: The iLIVE IS819B features a built-in AM/FM tuner
with an integrated AM antenna and an attached FM wire antenna. The built-in
AM/FM tuner offers digital tuning and provides 20 FM and 20 AM preset
stations.
- Auxiliary Input: The iLIVE IS819B features a rear-mounted 3.5mm
auxiliary audio input for connecting an external audio source such as the
iPod shuffle or other portable MP3 player
- iPod Dock: The iLIVE IS819B features a top-mounted iPod docking
station and comes with multiple iPod adapter inserts for audio playback of
select iPods. The iLIVE IIS819B is "Made for iPod compatible" and supports
the following iPod model functions (Dec. 2009).

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may
change functionality results. If you download a newer software
version, you may need to reset the device and your iPod/iPhone to
regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to revert
to the older software version or wait until an newer software update
is available.
Wireless Powered Speakers: The iLIVE IS819B comes with two wireless,
powered, indoor/outdoor speaker. Each speaker features an integrated digital
2.4GHz ISM wireless receiver which receives wireless audio from the systems
AM/FM Clock Radio Docking Unit (up to 200' (line-of-sight), or 90' (indoor).
Each speaker is self-powered and features independent volume control. You can
set up the two speakers in the same room as a stereo pair or distribute them in
two different rooms in a mono configuration. The wireless, powered speakers
feature a weather-resistant cabinet and can be placed indoors or outdoors.
Note: The iLIVE IS819B Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Speaker System can
support up to 10 pairs of wireless, powered speakers (sold separately).
Remote Control: The iLIVE IS819B comes supplied with a wireless RF
remote control, so the remote does not require line-of-sight to control the
system. The wireless remote can control this unit and your docked iPod from
approximately half the distance of the system's speaker reception: approximately
100' (line-of-sight), or 45' (indoors). The remote control will operate the
major function of the system as well as basic functions of your dock iPod, such
as - Play/Pause, Skip/Search, and Random. The volume buttons on the remote
control will adjust the master volume of the unit, affecting all linked
speakers. The remote control is powered by two "AAA" batteries (sold
separately).
Note: Your iPod's controls will remain fully functional while
docked.
Bass and Treble: The iLIVE IS819B offers independent bass
and treble controls from the remote.
Dual Power Supply: The iLIVE IS819B's AM/FM Clock Radio Docking Unit
will operate off of standard household current using the attached AC cord. This
unit also features a battery compartment to hold two "AA" batteries (sold
separately) for battery backup of the systems' clock settings. Each of the
wireless powered speakers can be powered by standard household current using the
attached power cord or battery powered using six "D" size batteries (sold
separately).
