Overview: The Artison Masterpiece In-Wall LCR is a 3-channel
(Left, Center, and Right) passive LCR in-wall loudspeaker speaker system which
delivers the left, center, and right audio information of your AV surround sound
system from two speakers designed to mount inside the wall on either side of your
television. The Artison In-Wall LCRs are designed to complement any flat panel
display and eliminate the need for a separate center-channel speaker either above
or below the display. This is possible through DualMono Center channel technology
which integrates two discrete speakers on either side of a flat-panel display, both
of which reproduce the monaural center-channel signal. The dual speaker approach
places the apparent source of the sound in the center of the picture where it
belongs and eliminates the need for a third speaker (center-channel) which usually
sits above or below the TV. The DualMono Center Channel provides an easy installation
of just two in-wall speaker cabinets which are more aesthetically appealing and yet
still deliver the three discrete front channels for your home theater surround sound.

Features
In-Wall Mount Design: Unlike other in in-wall speakers, the
Artison Masterpiece In-Wall LCRs are a complete speaker cabinet mounted inside an
in-wall mount. The In-Wall LCRs have a closed-back design which ensures that the
performance of the speaker is maintained, independent of the wall cavity size or
wall construction type. It does not rely on the cavity created behind the baffle
to control the performance of the system. The sound is consistent and fully
independent of the environment.
DualMono Center Channel: The Artison Masterpiece In-Wall LCRs
feature a unique, patented DualMono Center Channel which improves the reproduction
of a movie soundtrack. Two dedicated speakers located in the upper half of the left
and right channel enclosures work together to project crisp, clear dialogue from
the center of the screen, where it belongs. The Artison Masterpiece In-Wall LCRs
left and right channels provide the wide, accurate sound stage you want from a home
theater speaker system.
Drivers: Each Artison Masterpiece In-Wall LCR features two
5.25" long-throw Kevlar midrange drivers and two 1" adjustable Super
Audio silk-dome tweeters for exceptional dynamics, fast transient response, and
ruler-flat frequency response.
Adjustable Tweeters: The Masterpiece In-Wall LCR is equipped
with adjustable front-firing tweeters. Using the angle built into the woofers as
a reference, you can fine tune the LCRs to fit your application. The DualMono
Center Channel tweeters should be focused to the center of your listening area.
Conversely, the left and right channel tweeters should be aimed to the left and
right side of your listening area.
Enclosure: The Artison Masterpiece In-Wall LCR features a
white aluminum cabinets and white plastic grilles, which are paintable (paint
shields supplied). The LCR In-Walls utilize a bass-reflex enclosure design with
two front-firing ports for added bass response and efficiency.
Controls
Presence Control Settings: The Presence Control changes the
DualMono Center Channel tweeter level, from 6 kHz and up, to compensate for
differing room acoustics. You can set this switch to Normal (0 db/oct), Decreased
(-3 dB/oct), or Increased (+3 dB/oct).
Note: Presence Controls switches on both
speakers should be set to the same positions for proper balance
of the center image.
Connections
Speaker Connections: Each Artison Masterpiece In-Wall LCR will
require two discrete audio signals from an external multi-channel amplifier. Each
features two pair of gold-plated spring-post terminals (Front Right or Left, and
Center). For the Left and Right channels, connect one end of your two-conductor
speaker wire to the left and right channel positive and negative terminals of the
receiver or amplifier; and connect the other end of the speaker wire to the lower
set of positive and negative terminals located on the rear of each speaker. The
DualMono Center Channels should be wired in a parallel connection to the
amplifier/receiver's center channel; this can be achieved with two separate
speaker wires run from the amplifier/receiver, one to each DualMono Center
Channel. The speaker wire gauge required depends on the length; 16 Gauge is
suggested as the minimum size.
Mounting Options
Mounting: The Artison Masterpiece In-Wall LCR features an
integrated mounting bracket and is designed to be compatible with standard 2"
x 4" stud walls. The Masterpiece In-Wall LCR features a 3-3/4" mounting
depth and cut-out dimensions of 5.875" wide x 30.3125" tall. The in-wall
speakers come supplied with mounting templates to help you determine the proper
location and size of the cut-out needed in your wall.
