Product Research

Features

Marine Certified: The Fusion MS-BT100 is a marine grade Bluetooth audio module. Its certified IP65 water resistant and tested for the marine environment. What separates the MS-BT100 apart from other Bluetooth modules is the integrated marine voltage protection, which is engineered specifically to protect against voltage spikes. This added protection ensures no disruption to your listening pleasure.

Compatibility: The MS-BT100 will connect to any Fusion marine stereo featuring an auxiliary input allowing for instant streaming from a compatible device. Compatible Fusion marine stereos include the MS-CD80, MS-RA50, MS-IP600, MS-AV600, MS-CD600, MS-RA200, MS-RA205, MS-IP700, MS-AV700, MS-IP700i, MS-AV700i, CA-CD700, and CA-ML600.

Bluetooth Music Streaming: The MS-BT100 Bluetooth v3.0 module streams audio (including stored music and music apps) from any A2DP Bluetooth capable Apple, Android, Windows, Blackberry or other device directly to your paired Fusion marine stereo. Make sure to select the "Aux" input as the source for Bluetooth playback. With an effective range of 10 Mtrs (33ft), you can enjoy seamless streaming of your favorite audio tracks without having to return to the stereo to change tracks. Effective range measured in a straight line, range will differ depending on placement of the Bluetooth module and obstructions.

  • Pairing: Before you can wireless stream music from your Bluetooth-enabled mobile device, you will first need to "pair" it with the MS-BT100. The MS-BT100 can only be paired with one device at a time.
  • Controls: All music selection and playback is controlled from your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or media player; not from the MS-BT100 or your Fusion marine stereo.  Song/artist information will still need to be viewed from your streaming device; there is no song/artist information displayed on the MS-BT100 or your Fusion marine stereo.
Note: The MS-BT100 only supports wireless audio streaming and does not offer any type of wireless hands-free phone communication.

Auto On/Off: The MS-BT100 will be powered on and off when your Fusion marine head unit is powered on and off; this requires that the module's power wire be tapped into your Fusion marine receiver's amp turn-on lead.

Mounting Options: It is recommended that the MS-BT100 Bluetooth module is mounted in an elevated position as far away from metal work as possible to ensure maximum range for Bluetooth audio streaming. Any barrier between the MS-BT100 and your streaming device will reduce the range. The MS-BT100 can be secured by either using adhesive backing tape or by using a single non-corrosive screw (not included).

Wiring: The MS-BT100 Bluetooth module features an attached 5' cable terminated by male stereo RCA connectors and bare power/ground wires. The module's male stereo RCA connectors plug into the stereo RCA auxiliary input of your compatible Fusion marine stereo. The MS-BT100's power wire (Red) should be tapped into your Fusion marine receiver's amplifier turn-on lead (Blue). The module's ground wire (Black) should be grounded to a clean metal surface of your vessel.

Q
Can I plug this into an audio source (SiriusXM Marine infolink receiver), and play on other bluetooth speakers?

This device is intended to receive Bluetooth. It is not capable of transmitting Bluetooth to other devices.

Q
Do I need this if I purchase a new MS-RA70 NSX head unit?
todd  Mar 18, 2022
1 answer
A
You should not need this as the head unit has built in Bluetooth and this device is for a head unit without that built in feature

Can I put an rca splitter off my head unit and plug this and my amp into the splitter?

fusion goes in radio input doesnt amp go in radio output
michael  Dec 07, 2020
Q
what is the difference between the ms-bt100 and the ms-bt200 other than the connector? my fusion will accept both.
jack  Apr 04, 2020
1 answer
A
The 200 takes the place of the Sirius adapter, and the 100 is just analog into the aux. the 200 is vastly superior as it will bring in meta data to the head unit and remotes. It also allows auto reconnection, whereas the 100 you have to connect to it manually each time.
thomas  Apr 04, 2020
Q
do i need a MS-BT100 if I also have a MS-BT200 installed?
j  Sep 20, 2019

A
You can connect both, but there isn't really a need to. Go with the 200!
thomas  Apr 04, 2020
A
No you would only be able to connect to one at a time.

Q
Can this hock up with an older tv and use with bluetooth headset?
valerie  Apr 11, 2016
2 answers
A
Dont know about the tv. The adaptor only receives Bluetooth from a device, it does not transmit out to a device.
j michael  Apr 12, 2016
A
no. This is a bluetooth receiver, to sync with transmitters like phones, MPs, nav systems and alike. It outputs to a radio/stereo. You are looking for a bluetooth headphone option (Bluetooth transmitter)
clayton  Apr 11, 2016
Q
once paired, does it automatically repair when device is within range?
jayson  Jan 14, 2016
3 answers
A
maybe. I have several of these things I have tried. It depends if you pair with other things during the time you do not sync with this (like other BT headsets) While my phone NEVER has any issues reconnecting with any factory car stereo, it seems to be a bit buggy on any of the aftermarket ones. That being said, for the price, a little hassle of reconnecting to this device in minimal compared to my after market stereo.
clayton  Apr 11, 2016
A
It does not. You need to connect manually again.
caglar  Jan 16, 2016
A
yes it will as long as your device is set to the fusion. I'm very happy with the adapter.

eric havent yet installed bt-100 yet i am involved in audio industry since 1981 and while a number of companies distribute this same device i have heard it works very well.
tony  Jun 26, 2015
A
Yes, your receiver has aux inputs (RCA) and the Fusion BT-100 will plug directly into them. You will also need to find a 12 volt source, preferably switched. I have two, one on our boat to an Alpine head unit and the other in a car. This is not brand specific as it shows on websites, the unit is very clear sound and pairs easily to anything we have tried that has BT.
david  Jun 26, 2015
A
I'd use this In place of a head unit... What I did. Plug starlight into amp
