This program allows a customer who purchases a new nüvi or zūmo to update the map in his or her unit free of charge if (1) the customer registers his or her unit at http://my.garmin.com within 60 days after the unit’s first satellite acquisition, and (2) a newer map is available or if one is released within 60 days after the unit’s first satellite acquisition. If the customer registers his or her unit within the 60 day period and a new map is available anytime during that period, the customer can request and download the new data, free of charge, by following the simple online prompts. For customers that are not able to download the map data, Garmin can provide the update on disk for a $10.00 shipping and handling fee by calling 1-800-800-1020.
