    Q
Can I play different music streams on different speakers in separate rooms simultaneously and control them from one phone or individually by Google assist?
    mark f  Oct 17, 2023

    A
You can play the same Chromecast built-in compatible music app (like Tidal, Spotify, or Pandora) on all speakers or groups of speakers in different rooms of your home, Mark. If you want to play different music in each zone, the Sonos One in the link below is an excellent choice that still supports Google Assistant and Alexa voice control. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_616ONE2WH/Sonos-One-White.html

Greetings Mark. Great question, a bit complicated in some cases. The short answer is yes, you can have different music playing on different speakers, or the same music on a certain group of speakers all withing the app, or Google assist. Now the tougher part. In most cases you will need multiple streaming subscriptions to do different source material at the same time to different speakers. Check with your streaming service and see if it may stream different material at the same time.

Does anyone care about stereo anymore? This all seems mono only. Could 2 be set up for stereo?
    david  Aug 19, 2021
    1 answer
    A
This speaker's design to to output sound in all directions (360 degrees) which corrupts stereo imaging. Other model speakers output audio in one direction and those can often be joined together for true stereo playback. I recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to discuss your goals and get a personal recommendation

I would imagine you would only be able to connect JBL link to your laptop if the laptop has bluetooth capabilities.

If your laptop has Bluetooth, yes this will work. Note, depending on your setup, your software may not be able to play through this speaker AND your laptop speakers but if you want it to replace them, the Bluetooth works great.

Yes. Each speaker has to be connected to the same WiFi network that your playing device is on. I have two of these, a JBL sound at, and two other WiFi capable speakers and can play speakers to all 5 devices through my 3 story home.

I have the same question and have been trying to reach for tech support. It seems it should be, but I don't know how. Some tech support are very good, others are not specialized in this and can't help. It's a bit tricky to find the right person to help you.

will this work with Yamaha music cast?
    michael  Nov 28, 2020

No, unless your receiver is google enabled/ google assistant/ google home. If it is, you would use the google home app instead of music cast app to link them.
    daniel  Aug 05, 2021
    A
I honestly don't know. I haven't tried to connect the speaker to my Yamaha receiver. I know I could not connect to my android phone via bluetooth. According to Crutchfield, it is supposed to connect if you have operating system 6.0 or higher. I'm running 8.0

    Q
does it work with all TVs ?
    william  Oct 31, 2020
    3 answers
    A
No, many TVs do not offer Bluetooth output. For those that do it should work. The speaker must first be connected in the Google Home app before you can hook up bluetooth. This unit does not have any inputs such as aux/ headphone input or optical.
    daniel  Aug 05, 2021
    A
I t is not really meant to work with a TV but rather to connect your smart phone and it has Google assistant so it responds to voice commands. I suppose It could connect to a TV if it is a Bluetooth source or if you hook a bluetooth transmitter to the sound output of your TV
    michael  Oct 31, 2020

Sorry. Don't Know. I have it in the garage and just use it for playing Pandora via Bluetooth. It does sound amazing for its size. Good Luck!
