Sony Bravia TVs

motionflow

MotionFlow™ Technology

Images can appear blurred when displayed at 60 frames per second. Sony uses MotionFlow technology to decrease this blurring effect. Some TVs have MotionFlow 60Hz, which uses a motion compensation algorithm to reduce judder during slow pans. MotionFlow 120Hz goes even farther — it doubles the number of frames for smoother, crisper reproduction of fast-action. Crutchfield Senior A/V Editor Steve Kindig explains MotionFlow 120Hz in more detail in this short video. Video

XBR8

XBR8 Televisions

Sony's top-of-the-line XBR8 televisions are dazzling, thanks in large part to their innovative TRILUMINOS LED backlighting system. This technology delivers brilliantly accurate colors, while ensuring that those hard-to-reproduce shadows stay rich and dark. Crutchfield Senior A/V Editor Steve Kindig digs into the details of the XBR8 line, and the secret to TRILUMINOS backlighting, in this short video. Video

DMX-NV1

BRAVIA® Internet Video Link

Sony's made it so your BRAVIA TV can access all kinds of content, with the addition of a simple module.

For example, the DMX-WL1 lets you wirelessly transmit high-def video and audio to your TV — a nice solution if you have a wall-mounted TV and don’t want to run a bunch of cables inside the wall. The slimline DMX-NV1 teams up with your BRAVIA TV and your home broadband network to let you check out Web content like music videos, trailers, video clips, and more. Even better, it can scale the content you're watching to 1080i video. And the sleek DMX-DVD turns your BRAVIA into a sleek TV/DVD combo player.
