From humble beginnings...
In the summer of 1974 Paul McGowan and Stan Warren quietly started a small company with a shoestring budget and a single product — a wooden cigar box stuffed with electronic parts and powered by a couple of 9 volt batteries. That first design — a phono preamp created for a local radio station — gained the attention of many music lovers, and was the beginning of a long series of innovative audio components from this fledgling outfit.

Through the years, PS Audio has remained at the forefront of audio design by offering creative and original components including The Elite, the world's first high-end integrated amplifier, and the PS Digital Link, the first audiophile-grade outboard digital-to-analog converter for CD players. They also pioneered the concept of applying large transformers to small, low-level signal devices such as phono preamps to enhance their sound quality. Today, PS Audio continues to engineer and build advanced, high-value audio products that meet the demanding standards of the most discriminating listeners.
