Customer Q&A

Q
Is the stylus on this model considered to be a "nude" eliptical stylus, or something else?

A
I have this cartridge and enjoy it quite a bit. It has a bonded elliptical stylus. If you want to get a nude elliptical, you would have to look at the Sumiko Wellfleet, which has been added to Sumiko's oyster collection recently.

They advertise that it has an eliptical diamond stylus. GDA

It is elliptical, but not nude.

Q
What is the break in period for the Sumiko Olympia cartridge?

A
I had no break in period. I cleaned my records good, then it was just music to my ears, nice and crisp.

James, I purchased the Olympia but never installed it. I bought it based on the sound of the Pearl which I liked much better than the 2M Red. I had plans to buy a second turntable and wanted to use the Olympia in it.
