Q
A have a JL Audio VXi 600/6. It has 100watts per channel. Can I pair this speakesr with it?
andrés restrepo  Aug 31, 2023
1 answer
A
It would be possible to pair the VX600/6i with the MCCWR254 speakers. The trick will be properly setting crossovers for the channel used to power each speaker. Properly adjusted crossovers will protect the speakers from frequencies and power levels that could damage them.

Q
Does this speaker require a sealed enclosure or infinite baffle?

A
Works in inifinite baffle.
damien  Jul 01, 2020

I didn't use one but maybe thats why i didnt like the highs in the speaker and went with Infinity 3.5's and no baffle.
stephen j  Jun 28, 2020
A
It can be used in an IB configuration, but a small enclosure will help control the cone. Cross it at a about 500 hertz on 12db for the best results.
paul  Jun 27, 2020

No it wasn't required, an enclosure might help if ou have room for it. I my case there wasn't much room in the dash but I did put some dynamat in just below the speaker to try Nd help with the acoustics as Much as possible.

Mine are mounted in the dash of a Silverado...not enclosed. They do have a baffle behind them but I don't believe it is necessary. These are great sounding speakers. Very clear. They are not a full range speaker. For me, they play higher end sound. I would purchase them again.
jeff  Jun 26, 2020
A
I would venture that they will stay more controlled in a sealed enclusure, but mine work pretty well just ib in the dash holes

Q
What is a good amp to run a pair of these? Thank you
ebrahim  Jul 17, 2018

A
Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best amp for your subs I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help determine the differences between the amp models and help you make the best choice for your system.

Q
I have a 5 Channel Pioneer 9605 Amp powering Kickers in rear and Morel Maximos up front. Can I tap into the front channel to power these Maximo Midrange safely which have a max rms of 45 while my amp would be pushing out 75?
greg  Mar 27, 2018
1 answer
A
It sounds like you have a set of Morel Maximo speakers that would share the front channels of your amp with these midrange speakers. If that is correct, then they will work. If however, these midrange speakers are the only ones that will be on the front channels of your amp, then I recommend against doing that. You can call an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 for a personal recommendation My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101
