  • Strip the cable jacket to expose 5/8" of copper stranding.
  • Using your fingers, twist the copper strands to form a point.
  • Slip the QuickLock mounting post over the exposed copper.
  • Fan the copper strands over the connector base.
  • Place the connector over the copper strands, turning it clockwise onto the threaded portion of the mounting post until secure.

Q
My front Left, Center and Right Speakers are Paradigm LCR-450's. They have biamp connectors for two sets of speaker wires, four wires each. The receiver has only one set of output ports per speaker so the two plus wires have to be twisted together, as do the two negatives. Will the plugs accommodate two 14 GA wire thicknesses in each?

Thinking back to when I connected mine, I believe they will accommodate a second wire. It will be tight, though.

I doubt it. I'm using 14 gauge wiring and they fit in easily enough for one wire, but two would be a biy too thick in my opinion. On the other hand, you're only out about $25 if you try it and it doesn't work.

I used a 16 gauge wire/cable and, after twisting the wire tightly, it easily slipped into the opening. I don't think it will accommodate two 14 gauge wires twisted together. But, frankly, I'm not sure. Suggest you call or email a "technical type" before purchasing.

Q
Will these fit 10 Gauge Speaker Wire?

I'm afraid Monster doesn't specify any maximum cable gauge for their self-crimping Banana connectors. You may want to try reaching out to their support directly by phone at 877-800-8989.

I'm using 16 gauge speaker wire and there's additional space available in connector; but I'm not sure if enough for 10 gauge. Sorry I can't help.
