It says Sam has been with Crutchfield since 1993 on his profile, and it shows. You don't retain talent like his unless you have a passion for what you do. He is knowledgeable, with just the right amount of sales finesse. Throw in the personable and willing attitude, and you have a combination that's unbeatable. With such a vast catalog of products, it's impossible to have everything memorized. With that said, the worst thing you can do is bluff your way through it. Sam expertly navigates this hurdle by keeping the conversation going about your project as he researches the answer you need. When opinion is needed, he has the vast experience to draw upon to customize the solution to your problem. I called in about a marine product, which I imagine isn't the product category he is dealing with most of the time. I can only infer this because for a long time Crutchfield really only dealt in car audio. I'd have never guessed this by talking to Sam. He knew his stuff, and the history around some of the more unfamiliar brands. I had no idea Garmin owned Fusion until this call. I now have a fantastic system in my boat. Sam, thank you for your help to bring my boat into the 21st century. In a time where customer service is constantly being outsourced... You, and others like you are why I will continually return to Crutchfield. If the great website can't get me where I need to go, or you just need an expert opinion to push you over, it's comforting to know you're just a call away.

Called for my motor home which I could find zero information on anywhere. I had the stock head unit out and called. Got Sam and we talked it thru. He sent me a mock order of EVERYTHING he thought I needed and said give it a try and of it doesn't work send it all back. It's no problem. The question we both had is sometimes motor home builders do customization. Got the stuff in two days. Took me about 2 hours to wire it all up, and everything looks extremely professional. New stereo sounds a million times better and has all the frills available today. Thanks for the great help!

SAM, is the best car audio salesperson ever! I purchased a system from Sam in 2005. I told him I currently have a Bose system, but I want to Feel the music. With everything he sent me the installation was easy, and by far exceeded my wildest dreams. Now in 2017 I want to upgrade with Bluetooth and incorporate my IPhone. Sam picked out the right receiver, checked with tech support for compatibility with the rest of my components, and sent just the right receiver for me. Advisors like Sam are the reason why I keep coming back to Crutchfield for all my A/V needs. You just don't get this level of support (both before and after the sale) anywhere else. I only deal with Crutchfield and recently bought a new FJ Cruiser. I loved my old Alpine 9833 with iPod and Sirius and wanted to transfer it to the new vehicle, but add Bluetooth also.
