Discovering the joys of DIY
We love helping people install their car stereos themselves — especially first-time installers.
It's fun and gratifying to hear about people discovering just how satisfying doing it themselves can be. Sure, it involves some careful planning and work, but in the end you get to know more about your car, you get a tremendous sense of accomplishment when the installation's finished, and, best of all, you end up with fantastic sound.
And with the help we provide, you don't necessarily have to have lots of experience working on cars — for most vehicles, we offer step-by-step instructions, plus mounting and wiring hardware. If you do hit a snag, our in-house tech support specialists are just a phone call away.
Recently, a couple of first-time installers shared photos of their projects with us: Doug, a retired chemist in Mesa, AZ, and Sean, a high school junior in Charlottesville, VA. Click on the links below to see some of what their installations involved, and their great-looking finished products.
