Heads up!

Welcome to this article from the Crutchfield archives. Have fun reading it, but be aware that the information may be outdated and links may be broken.

Crutchfield's car audio experts Zak and Deb take a look at the Pioneer DEH-P7000BT CD receiver. They'll tell you about the stereo's USB input for controlling your iPod or other USB device and built-in Bluetooth capability for hands-free calling.

Deb: Hi, I'm Deb.

Zak: And I'm Zak.

Deb: And we're here in the Crutchfield video studio with the Pioneer DEH-P7000BT. It's a CD receiver with Bluetooth. Now this is actually one of our customer favorites — it's gotten four-and-a-half out of five stars.

Zak: That's great, Deb. And you mentioned Bluetooth — of course that's great for hands-free calling while you're driving; you can conduct conversations through your stereo's speakers. And Pioneer also has a great feature called Sound Retriever, and what Sound Retriever does is it puts back some of that info that's lost when you compress a music file to an MP3 file, for instance.

Deb: It's also got your iPod controls built in so you can control your iPod right from the face of the radio, and it's not limited to iPods; it's got rear auxiliary and USB inputs, so you can connect any MP3 player to it.

Zak: And there it is, the Pioneer DEH-P7000BT CD receiver.
