Downloaded the tunit. Everything works except when it asks me what car my stereo is in, it doesnt show my car. Just some audi's, a VW, and a couple others. Is there an upgrade I missed?

Rob, your best bet will be to contact Alpine Customer Service at (800) ALPINE-1 for support.

How can I know what car stereo are compatible with this app? I can't find any good information

    Alexander Hrabe from Crutchfield

Eduardo, most of the Alpine car stereos that we carry are compatible, but you can check the Details tab of the stereo you're interested in to confirm. Or just give us a call!

Is the tune it app able to adjust my midrange speakers being ran from my rca outputs from my x108u to my rockford amplifier powering them?

    Ken Nail from Crutchfield

    on 6/5/2018

Hi Jeremy, Without knowing all the details about your system and how you want to adjust your midrange speakers it's difficult to give a definitive answer. But I'd suggest using the Crossover settings in the TuneIn app as a starting point for your tuning.

Recently bought cde 163 radio and replaced my old 1997 alpine in my 67 camaro. The old radio was - and still is great!, thats why I trusted to another Alpine...just for the newer technologies. Previously Had to drive with the glovebox door open (radio located) with the old style remote in order to control it. Gd bless the new technologies!!! So now bluetooth connected AND downloaded Tuneit app. Maybe its a later version or so as I have read the other reviews regarding install problems. I have an android samsung s7 and everything went smooth and I now have great phone control. I especially LOVE the 9 band eq. Feature. Maybe other brands are just as good, but I couldnt be happier with this!

The app is magnificent in 2018. Does it work with non Alpine gear? If so, App of the Century. If not, i'll Take it from here.

I think it's a great system for single din car stereos. There's nothing worse then going through dozens of settings on your system (bass, treble, fade, balance.eq,sub woofer.....). It's so much easier to be able to make those changes digitally with your iPhone in hand.

Hello, I downloaded the app on my iPhone and set up the account but when I try to use the settings, it doesn't work I move all the bands on the eq and it doesn't do anything. Is my stereo supported? I have an Alpine CDE 164BT

Scott, that's right! Alpine's TuneIt app opens up a lot more possibilities for tweaking your sound.

With this app can you basically use it as an external/more traditional EQ? Currently have a ClarionCZ305 and hate the lack of adjustability.

Brian, a crossover point is the frequency at which the level of the output signal has been reduced by 3 dB, half its power level. As you use the TuneIt app and tune your system, you may find these articles useful.

Works OK, constant communication issues. What are the"points" all about?

  • Alexander Hrabe from Crutchfield

    Posted on 5/3/2016

Jacob, Alpine is aware of the issue and working to fix it. In the meantime, call Alpine's Tech Support at (800) TECH-101 (1-800-832-4101). They will be able to set up a TuneIt account for you. Once a Tech advisor sets up the account, you should have no trouble using it.

I had the same issue with the app. I emailed alpine and they had to manually add me and create a password for me. They are aware of the issue but do not have an eta on when it will be resolved. Once alpine got me added I was good to go so my advice is to email them.

It wont let you create an account. Been trying for 2 weeks. Still works as a sound control but you cant upload or download other tunings.

Chris, the Alpine TuneIt app is meant for use with your mobile device. You'll have better luck downloading from the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store to your smartphone. If you have any trouble, contact Alpine with questions.

The app doesn't work! You fill out everything and then they send you the link to your email, you click on the "Verify Account" and it says... Link unavailable due to suspicious activity. How can it be suspicious if we are following your instructions????
