Video: Pioneer DEH-80PRS CD receiver

Heads up!

Welcome to this article from the Crutchfield archives. Have fun reading it, but be aware that the information may be outdated and links may be broken.

Harry from Pioneer Electronics came to visit us here at Crutchfield, and showed us some of the great features available on the DEH-80PRS CD receiver. It's one of Pioneers most impressive sound quality CD receivers, perfect for building a high-end car stereo system around. Check out the details in this video.

If I want to run "Network" mode with a 4 channel amp for mids, and a mono amp for subs, can I then turn on the internal amp to the DEH80prs and connect 4 tweeters to it and thus complete the "Network?" Or would I need to get a third, seperate, amplifier just to run the tweeters? I am currently running everything in "Standard" mode with the DEH80prs' internal amp turned off. Sounds terrific, btw. But, I really like the idea of controlling (setting) the frequencies specific to the type of speakers in "Network" mode. Thanks, in advance, for the help.
