Perfect fit for our car. Made it easy to install the radio. The only thing I had a problem with was thinking that the DIM sleeve was missing from the package. Finally, I discovered it was on the stereo and had to be removed from it to insert into the dash kit. Of course, if I had read the instructions, it did say "Remove the DIM sleeve from the receiver", but who READS instructions?

This kit worked well when I upgraded my 2005 Saturn Vue from a double DIN factory stereo to a single DIN aftermarket unit. It does a good job of holding the unit in the dash. However, there didn't seem to be anything keeping the new unit from falling back into the dash. I repurposed the brackets that secured the original unit and used them in conjunction with this kit for a rock solid install. The end result is very stable and looks great.

This dash kit fit perfectly into my 2004 Saturn VUE. I had to do a little bit of innovative work to make the metal sleeve hold properly. There were a couple of metal prongs that I bent up to hold the sleeve in place, and they weren't the ones that were designed to hold the sleeve in, but they worked perfectly for my situation. Once I figured that out, then everything went smoothly, and looks fantastic.

This sucker is sturdy. The finish and color matched my 2000 Saturn SL2. As a general note, DON'T whack the top dashboard cover too hard when putting it back in. That how the dash board instrument lights get knocked out.

This adapter fit perfectly and made the installation a snap --- once I called the help line and was told the reason my unit wouldn't fit into the adapter was because there was an insert that needed to be removed. Once I popped it out, the radio fit perfectly.

It appears to be perfectly functional. However I already had a dash kit from a previous stereo that had gone bad. I chose to keep that Dash Kit because it had a much larger storage cubby, and didn't make the head unit stick out from the Dash, it kept the Head Unit flush, much preferable. That being said though it was tight fit in the back with the RCA output cables, so the new dash kit moving the head unit out would have allowed better fitment in the back.

Saturn In-dash Receiver Kit - 2000-up, chassis size E Very secure and quality product. Back in the day we had generic kits like this that looked sloppy and never quite fit right. I must say this fit like a glove and seems factory quality and look to everyone I have shown. The only complaint I have is I lost about 1 1/2 to 2 inches in cubby depth. The factory cubby was deep enough for a full cd jewel case but this one not so much Other than that, it is great.

A real time saver. Instructions weren't complete but got me looking in the right areas so that I was comfortable removing more screws that became obvious were still attached to the cover panels. Couldn't use flush insert face because it didn't allow my receiver flip down face to open correctly, had to put receiver's plate. Replacement compartment isn't as deep as original.

Kit worked well for install in my 2002 SL1. I did have some confusion with the radio removal instructions, specifically with removing the cover around the steering column. I never did get the cover off, but was able to bend the parts enough to remove the dash cover. The Sony receiver I installed had a DIN box with several metal tabs you bend up to create a tightly held box for the receiver. All parts lined up very well, looks perfect. I used the cover from this kit instead of the one with the receiver as I thought it looked more like a factory install. I submitted some suggestions to Crutchfield for their consideration regarding removal of the steering column cover (I looked up some other radio removal instructions on line to finally figure it out). NOT BAD for my first ever install!

I installed this on a 2003 Saturn L200.... The harness included in the Crutchfield kit work perfectly, The dash trim was not so perfect, the factory radio uses 2 brackets to keep the radio straight and stable, but when installing this radio the brackets do not fit correctly on this unit (Radio) and the dash trim kit does not provide a way to support the radio, But with a little patience and a good hammer you can modify the brackets to make them fit your needs and ultimately support the radio correctly.

Fit perfectly in my 01 l300, no complaints, the frame that came with it also fit perfectly around my new receiver and looked much better than the one that came with the radio.

2005 Saturn ION 2
The kit fits perfectly in my '05 ION 2 and the extra storage place is very nice too for my cell phone and iPod. It looked shady without the beauty ring on. but once the beauty ring was in place it looks really nice.

2005 Saturn VUE
This kit made installing my new receiver a snap. The only complaint I have is the pocket sits a bit lower than the stock unit so it's not as well centered vertically.

Perfect Fit

2002 Saturn SL2
This mounted and fit perfectly in my 2002 Saturn SL1. The only problem i have with it is the bottom pocket is a tad bit shorter then the factory one. My phone would fit perfectly in it before and after it wont. Not a big deal

2005 Saturn VUE
Fits well but it doesn't clip in. Haven't had a problem with anything moving around but I'd feel better if it locked in place a little better. Couldn't get the face plate fit without obstructing the flip down on the stereo. Used the one that came with the stereo and it works fine.

Fits Great

I used this in-dash kit in 2004 ION2. It fits very well in the opening made by the car munfacturer. I noticed one person mention a gap between the new kit and the existing dash unit. There is a slight gap, but is nothing that would drive me insane. It is nice to still have the underneath cubby for storage. The one thing I might run into later is how to mount my EQ in that same area but that probably a way off. I personally liked the kit.

2004 Saturn Ion (Close Fit)

2004 Saturn ION 2
While this kit will securely hold a radio in a Saturn Ion I'm not overly impressed with the fit and finish of the install. The pocket in the kit extends slightly below the rounded corners of the Ions dash trim creating a rather unappealing gap between the bottom of the pocket and the top of the trim. From what I've heard that issue is even further exaggerated on the newer models with the re-designed dash. The good news is that little lip keeps things from falling out of the pocket, bad news of course is that it just looks bad.

Works Great - I have an Idea

2000 Saturn LS
Like everything Crutchfield sends me, this works great. I used it in my 2000 Saturn LS to upgrade my stereo and the whole project was done at night after my kids went to bed. My suggestion is to eliminate or shorten the built in pocket that mimics the original Saturn design. I would rather have the room behind the dash for all of the cables and my XM unit.
