2014 Chevrolet Volt
Kit is comprehensive and covers several radio sizes and configurations. I used the double DIN size, so I had to cut out the middle bar and file the edges smooth. I used two components to build up the right size and fill the gap between my radio and the hole in the dash. It looks good installed. It didn't fit the hole as snugly as I expected. It is slightly smaller than the factory radio. I was concerned when I assembled it on the table because I could see light between the trim kit and the dash panel. But now that it is installed, I don't see any gap. I actually ordered another trim kit because I was concerned about the gap, but I ultimately went back to this kit for the final installation.
Pros: Fills the gap between the new radio and the factory hole in the dash.
Cons: Could fit the dash hole better. Size is slightly off.

Not a perfect fit, modification require

Tried this kit to fit pioneer 2440nex ro replace the original radio on 2002 c240. This kit required modified (remove tab). Also kit seem to be a little too big...
Pros: Fit with the center bezel
Cons: Require modification to fit into instrument panel base panel. Bezel seem to be 3 mm too wide/big.

Purchased this from Crutchfield about 30 days ago as well as single DIN radio. Radio is a Kenwood. I could not use the DIN metal mount that is included with the radio. It would not fit correctly. The alternative was to use the plastic side panels that attach to the faceplate. The screws if your not careful will slide through the side slots and the radio will not stay fastened. Today as I inserted a CD, the radio fell into the dash. After removing the radio I found the screws slid through the side slots and will not keep the radio fastened to the side mounts. I now have to find another dash kit that is better compatible with Kenwood radios to mount in my dash.
Pros: Nice looking trim
Cons: Very bad mounting options.

This kit fits really well into the dash. The screw holes match up perfectly, and the plastic seems pretty solid feeling. When in the dash it looks uniform and almost stock. However the screws that screw into the bracket on the stereo pull through the openings very easily. (And when getting close to pulling through it bends the plastic out of the way, then the screw snaps through it. Would be better if it had a washer or something to keep it from pulling through.
Pros: Fits nicely, plastic is made of good quality.
Cons: Screws pull through the slots very easily, and the stereo sticks out of the dash and is not flush. (only about a quarter of an inch, but still.

Please note that I am not professional and have only installed about a dozen head units in my time. However, of the installs I have done, this is one of the worst kits I have ever used. No directions, no idea how to connect the side pieces and the tray doesn't appear to connect to anything but the back of one of the sides (which I couldn't figure out how to connect). Quite honestly, I probably would have spent more time figuring this out if it hadn't been for the absolutely crappy and useless directions on how to connect the stereo to the factory wiring, but I'll reiterate that in the wire harness review). The face plate does fit nicely and bolted in appropriately (hence 2 stars) and it doesn't look awful. Overall I am extremely disappointed and thought I was getting a kit made for my car, not a crappy semi-universal kit.
Pros: - Decent look - Very good fit to the car's dash (2004 c240) - Face plate screw holes married up
Cons: - Little to no instructions - Nothing seemed to fit together - no screws for assembly - Tray is not stable and easily falls down / pops out
