Overview: The Dyson V7 Car+Boat is a cordless, handheld vacuum cleaner
that is designed for cleaning small areas and hard-to-reach spots, especially in
cars and boats. It is powered by the
Dyson digital motor V7, which spins at up to 107,000 rpm to create powerful
suction. It comes with a mini-motorized tool, extension hose, and four other
attachments. The V7 Car+Boat weighs only 3.77 pounds, and is
powered by a 21.6 volt rechargeable battery.
2 Tier Radial Cyclone Technology: The V7 Car+Boat uses Dyson's
patented cyclone technology in which powerful centrifugal forces spin dust and
dirt out of the air and into the bin. A total of 15 cyclones, arranged across
two tiers, work in parallel to increase airflow and capture fine dust particles
as small as 0.5 microns.
Battery: The V7 Car+Boat cordless vacuum is powered by a new 21.6
volt Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery. The battery charges in approximately 3.5
hours. New battery chemistry in its six rechargeable nickel cobalt aluminum
cells provide up to 30
minutes of powerful, fade-free suction. Using the mini-motorized tool decreases
the battery life to approximately 20 minutes. When switched to Max Mode (see below), the battery life is reduced to
approximately 6 minutes. A single LED on the unit indicates the level of battery charge, or if
there is a fault with the battery or charger.
Operating Modes: There are two operating modes: Powerful Suction and
Max Power Mode. The Powerful Suction mode should be used for general cleaning
and for extended battery life. For more difficult tasks, you can press the
rear-mounted switch to engage the Max Power mode to give you up to 6 minutes of higher suction.
The Max Power mode produces up to 100 AW (air watts) of suction power, to make
the V7 Car+Boat one of the most powerful handheld vacuum cleaners available.
Dirt Ejector: The unit has a clear dirt bin with a volume of 0.03
gallons (approx. 1/2 cup). When the debris in the bin reaches the MAX level, it
can be easily emptied in a single motion. Pressing down a lever releases the
door on the bottom of the bin to eject the dirt. Once emptied, the door can be clicked
back into place.
Washable Filter: The V7 Car+Boat has a washable lifetime
filter. It is recommended that the filter be washed with cold water at least
once a month. It should be allowed to completely dry over a 24 hour period
Attachments: The Dyson V7 Car+Boat can be used with following
- Quick-release Mini Motorized Tool: The Mini-motorized tool is
ideal for removing pet hair and other debris from small areas and fabrics
(chairs, sofas, upholstery). The powered mini-roller is 4-3/4" wide, and is
equipped with 3,920 stiff carbon fiber bristles.
- Quick-release Combination Tool: The non-powered Combination Tool
is ideal for quick cleanups. It has a 2" x 1" nozzle with long bristles you
can slide and lock into place when needed. The nozzle and bristles are at a
45° angle for better coverage.
- Quick-release Crevice Tool: The non-powered Crevice Tool allows
you to get into narrow areas. The nozzle is 9-3/4" in overall length, with
the last 7" narrowing down to 11/16" wide.
- Stiff Bristle Brush: The Stiff Bristle Brush is for
tough cleaning jobs, such as caked-on mud or ground-in dirt. The 3/4"
bristles loosen dirt particles from carpet or hard surfaces.
- Mini Soft Dusting Brush: The Mini Soft Dusting Brush features soft 1"
bristles that are angled for wider coverage. This attachment is ideal for
cleaning delicate electronics such as computer keyboards or TV screens, or
dusting fine furniture.
- Extension Hose: The 1-9/16" diameter hose lets you
clean hard-to-reach places where the handheld unit can't go. The hose is 14"
long when compressed, but extends to 56" when stretched.
