The elegant, décor-friendly Bose® Acoustimass® 10 Series V home theater speaker system delivers high-quality home theater sound without visually taking over your room. Five speakers and a slender Acoustimass® module work together with your favorite surround sound receiver to provide spacious, natural-sounding music plus high-impact home theater and video game sound effects. Bose's innovative approach is the key.

Great speaker system!
Superb clarity of sound easy to use instructions. Has bespoke wiring long enough for most rooms.
Pros: Build quality
Very Excited about the new system. It has a great range of sound. Speakers are small and non invasive. And easy to install. Only thing I was was that the cords were longer to hook up had to extend a couple. Otherwise love it. Well worth the money
Pros: Great sound, easy install, good sleek look
Cons: Which the cables were a little longer.
This is my second set of these speakers. I looked at other options and concluded that these fit my needs best. The sound is very good and it makes movies and sport events fun to watch.
Pros: great sound for the size and cost
Cons: Could be difficult to install in an existing / finished room (not new construction
I think these speakers sound great and love the low profile of the speakers. I would give them 5 stars, but ultimately they are overpriced.
Pros: Sound and size
The best system ever and it's clear in sound.
Severely disappointed. I've been an audiophile for 20 years and this is the most underwhelming system I've put together to date. The sound is small and distant at best. My old Bose 3-2-1 system sounds better than this system and it's almost 15 years old. Deeply dissatisfied. If you are thinking about it, just don't. The negative reviews are spot on.
Pros: Visually appealing system.
Cons: Small sound.Crutchfield response on 10/24/2017 Erik, we're sorry you're disappointed with your speaker system. Speakers sound really great
This system rocks, nothing bad to say about it
This Acoustimass 10 Series V speaker system replaces my ten year old Acoustimass 16 Series ll system. I am very pleased with the sound of the improved speaker design and the Bass management. It makes me wish I had taken the plunge earlier. The only negative for me is the cube speakers do not have a hole in the rear to secure it to my existing stands. But this was not enough to drop a star in my rating. I would highly recommend the Acoustimass 10 Series V home theater speaker system.
Pros: Bass management Style Compact footprint
Cons: No screw hole in back of cubes
Clear, crisp Bose sound. Paired with an Onkyo receiver and love it!
Great system overall. Very good sound quality and it works well even when listening at low volumes. The only negligible downside (negligible for me, perhaps a clever lucrative strategy for Bose) is that Bose made it difficult to purchase 3rd party speaker stands/mounts that work with the product. There aren't any screw holes on the back of the speakers that would allow you to easily affix it. So, outside of being ingenious, be prepared to spend a little extra money for Bose's own accessories.
hook it up jus to hear it and I have to admit sounds awesome...hope you have cool neighborgs!!
First off, let's understand the difference between the average user, and the audiophile. The first is 90 percent of the population, they want the best sound (for their ears) at the best price for their budget. Audiophiles are commonly OCD as well, they are obsessed with sound waves, as measured by instruments that are useless to the rest of us. They have a disdain for Bose, mostly because they have achieved something that they can't understand, creating crystal clear sound, at high volume, with little or no distortion from tiny speakers. It goes against everything they know. So, for the rest of us, these speakers are great. They have a sleek look, pump out jaw dropping sound at volumes that will make your cat run away, never to be seen again. They can make even older receiver's/processors with relatively low RMS power, sound beautiful, changing the way you watch movies forever. If you are okay with only a 5 speaker home theater, and don't want to spend thousands of dollars on a professional set-up, then I highly recommend this system.
Pros: The size, price, beauty and most important, the sound. Amazing highs, rumbling lows, and nice balance between. The speakers are unobtrusive, sexy, and produce very clear high quality sound. As the guy on TV always said, "set it, and forget it".
Cons: Only complaints, the relatively thin wires, and their length leaves a lot to be desired as well. Also, I have a hard time understanding why Bose, after all these years, still has not produced a 7.1 speaker system. Granted it is not a huge deal for music, and will only be slightly missed for Blu-ray, it still makes little sense. You can run the rear speakers directly from the receiver (to have 7.1),using speakers from your old system if this is an upgrade.
Awesome sound for listening to music and watching a great movie!
Pros: Sound clarity and depth
The Bose system is great wonderful sound for the price
Pros: Good price, great sound and clear instructions
Cons: I think that the front surrounded sound speakers cords could be longer and that customer service should have mentioned speaker brackets so it would have came together when I order the system

The Acoustimass 10 series V speaker system is made specifically for use with 3rd party home theater receivers. The system comes with the "system input cable" you'll need to connect to the standard speaker and subwoofer outputs of most any home theater receiver. I mean 7.2 [ Jason Sep 11, 2017 ]
I guess you could get a acousrimass 5 system for the additional Channels and run the receiver wires direct to the.... no... just don't.... if you want a 7.1 system look elsewhere. [ Jason Sep 11, 2017 ]
I am not sure how that would work. Possibly a adapter? Maybe they make one compatible out of the box? [ Jason Jun 06, 2017 ]
So sorry...I do not know the answer. Best guess: Yes if you use a travel converter!! Normal US IS 110, so converter would be essential. PS. DEFINITLEY worth the hassle. LOVE this system!!!! [ Avis Jun 06, 2017 ]
Yes. From what I understand. Bose can also assist with install. [ Jason Feb 15, 2017 ]
No sir you can't, the speakers is not design to use traditional speaker wire. Contact Bose they might be able to help [ Yaw Feb 15, 2017 ]
Honestly, any receiver that has at least 50 W per channel should suffice. It doesn't take a lot of power to properly drive these speakers. [ Leslie Jan 31, 2017 ]
You don't need an amplifier for the subwoofer, it included. what you need is 5.1 preamp output. [ godfrey Dec 09, 2016 ]
I did not purchase an amplifier for my home theatre....we have this set up in our living room, so we really don't need that extra power. We can actually hear the sub when we are in other parts of the house! [ Avis Dec 07, 2016 ]
the sub has an amp in it already, if your asking if you need a receiver then yes [ Quinn Dec 07, 2016 ]
I had a Bose Acoustimass system and I now have the Sony STR-DN1060 receiver. I replaced my speaker system with more conventional speakers, but can tell you they will work with this receiver. [ David Jan 22, 2016 ]
Sure you can as long as the speakers have the positive and negative. This receiver has many functions but if you only need audio on stereo and no use the dolby and all of that things, you can get a cheapper amp and do a biamp connection. The subwoofer need to be amplified this receiver will not amplify you woofer, its only the signal. If you have the money, go fo it, im only using Bluetooth :D good luck. [ Felipe Jan 15, 2016 ]
Yes [ Terry Jan 15, 2016 ]
Hi Martin. I've spliced them before to extend the length. [ BOB Dec 04, 2015 ]
I experienced the same problem with my front speaker wires. The end that goes into the sub from the speaker is an normal RCA plug. You can buy RCA extensions at most of your regular shopping locations. Just be sure you get one with a female input on one end and male plug on the other...NOT 2 male plug ends. Not sure if Bose sells longer wires or not, but this fix worked fine for me. [ Mark Dec 04, 2015 ]
