About the Clarion CC720
Clarion keeps it simple (and clear)
Clarion keeps it simple (and clear)
Clarion's CC720 steps up rear-view camera quality with a 1/4" color CMOS sensor for a crisp image when backing up, and it features a composite video output so that you can pair it with any compatible aftermarket video receiver. Clarion also equips you with selectable parking lines and a 160-degree wide-angle lens to give you an accurate view of what's behind you. And with an impressively low 0.1 Lux minimum rating, you'll always have a clear picture, even when it's pitch black out. Additionally, a built-in mic captures audio as well as video and is compatible with car receivers, like Clarion's NX706, which feature corresponding rear video and audio inputs.
Ready for marine use
Clarion's IP67 rating makes this camera appropriate for marine use, and its hydrophobic coated lens repels water to improve visibility. But whether you're using it on your boat or on your vehicle when backing up a boat trailer, the built-in mic will come in handy when your first mate hollers out directions.
Everything you need
This weatherproof camera comes with all the wiring and hardware you'll need to install it. It'll fit in almost any location you pick, even many license plate frames. Use the included 23-foot video cable to connect your rear-view camera to your dash monitor or receiver.
Note: A rear-view camera provides an additional view when reversing your vehicle. It is intended to be used in conjuction with your rear- and side-view mirrors to give a fuller picture of what's behind you. It is not intended as a replacement for your mirrors.

Compatibility: The Clarion CC720 can be used as a back-up or front camera with practically any in-dash video receiver or on-dash video monitor that is equipped with a composite video camera input.
Note: This camera is meant as a visual aid only; never solely rely on the camera. In addition to using the camera, always physically look to make sure everything is clear around your vehicle.
CMOS Optics: The Clarion CC720 camera employs a 1/4" color CMOS image sensor (348,160 pixels) with auto iris, auto gain control (AGC), and automatic white balance to deliver a high quality picture.
Waterproof: The CC720 camera incorporates a hydrophobic coated lens to repel water and improve visibility. The camera's aluminum housing is waterproof (IP67) and UV-protected (ASTM D4329), making it perfect for mounting outside the vehicle.
Normal or Reversed Image: The CC720 is capable of providing normal or mirror images based on where you choose to mount it. By mounting the camera on the front of your vehicle, you'll see a normal image. By mounting it on on the back of your vehicle, you'll see a mirror image. You will need to connect the two tiny white wires labeled "Mirror option" to see a normal image.
Wide Viewing Angle: The 160° horizontal and 120° vertical viewing angles provide an excellent near field view of almost anything behind you or in front of you, depending on if you mount the camera in the front or rear of the vehicle.
Illumination Range: The CC720 camera's 0.1 lux rating (at 50 IRE) ensures you'll have high visibility during the day or at night in low light.
Parking/Distance Guidelines: As a rear-view camera, the CD720 provides visual parking/distance guidelines (Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green). You will need to connect the two tiny green wires labeled "Parking Line" to turn off the guidelines if you using it as front camera.
Built-In Mic: Within its compact body, the CC720 houses an external microphone. When backing out of a parking space or your driveway, you'll not only be able to see what's behind you, but also hear what's behind you (requires compatible in-dash receiver with backup camera audio input). This is especially helpful when children may be around. Currently the built-in microphone is supported by Clarion's NX706, NX405, VX405, and VZ401 in-dash receivers (all sold separately).
Mounting Bracket: The CC720 camera comes supplied with a self-adhesive mounting bracket which can tilt the camera up and down. Its also compatible with Clarion's CAUU02 and CAU001 license plate mounting kits (sold separately).
Connector Cable: The CC720 camera features attached 8' cable that plugs into a 23' extension cable terminated by a composite video RCA connector, mono-RCA audio connector, power lead, and ground lead. The composite video RCA connector plugs into your in-dash monitor's rear-panel composite video camera input and mono-RCA audio input (if equipped). The power/ground leads connect to your vehicle's +12-volt reverse lamp wire and gets grounded to a metal surface of your vehicle.
